what i dont understand is why cubans exited cuba because of a dictator and came to florida to support another dictator trump[. his goal is to make america like russia –china and cuba. america has a BERNIE SANDERS socialism—for the people—fema–roads–bridges–school being built–coast guard–even garbage pic up–health care and many more. yet miami cubans think and vote against democrats for a dictatorship…do you get it?????

When considering the bitcoin and gold hedge strategies, I think a lot depends on how bad the collapse is. Those strategies will work for a partial collapse where some sort of long-distance trading is still possible.

But what happens if the collapse is so bad that most of our infrastructure (and at its most extreme, the internet) becomes inoperable? At holders of gold would be like residents of a desert island with no use for gold where foraging for food and water is a challenge. The intangibility of bitcoin would be even worse.

Money of any kind is only useful if there is something to buy.

It seems to me that we need to think in terms of both immediately useful tangibles and hard trading tokens. Of course, fiat currency fits neither description.

In reply to Lester. Pfizer's test data show that their lipid packaged mRNA Covid-19 vaccine escapes from the innoculation site and accumulates in other tissues, including ovaries. I would certainly not want any women of child-bearing age to take it.

In reply to Lester. You may like to examine what has happened in South Africa. The insurrection was a planned coup by Zuma and his few mates. But it failed because the community of mixed races joined together to defeat the mayhem. This is a pointer to how the oppression in the Anglo/American empire will play out. People are armed and ready to defend their liberty and freedoms.

A Cuban inter-provincial bus I was a passenger on got held up, for a couple of hours, after some fat 'apartchik' insisted on boarding, accompanied by two hookers (based upon appearances). There were only two seats left unoccupied on the bus, a result of a major Gaviota airliner being out-of-service. This had to be sorted out, over radio, with dispatch. When we eventually neared our destination the bus had to stop on the side of the highway so the guy, and his entourage, could be picked up by his personal car and driver.

Reflections on Cuban cronyism aside, it seemed to me a foreshadowing of the way things will be developing in the so-called Free World.
