I found myself agreeing with most of what you wrote. No _major_ disagreements.

If I'd been affected by the Coldcard tragedy it would have been buffered by the fact I am not 100% in Bitcoin. One of the reasons for diversification is to avoid situations like that.

I assume long term BTC CAGR to be 20% – 30% and plan accordingly. Undervalued stocks or stocks riding a wave can beat that easily. Gold and silver outperformed Bitcoin over the last couple of years.

My approach is to hold core positions and rebalance, rotate or go to cash with fixed allocations of the non-core.

excellent article, from a second generation immigrant.
the rage I have towards for the Liberals for destroying the goodwill and social cohesion will never end.
the only hope I have is that mark carney ends up being a conservative, builds a pipeline, and massively cuts immigration. I can't now go to a Marshall's without wondering if everyone white secretly hates me cause of my skin and I NEVER EVER felt like that growing up. I only ever felt welcome here and integrated and feel more Canadian than anything, and the Liberals ROBBED me of that feeling.

I think we need to look beyond Canada’s borders for some of the answers, and consider who benefits from these outcomes. For instance, having Canada being able to bypass the US in exporting energy to China or Europe, or to compete with US nuclear on the world stage is definitely not in America’s interests.

No. Canada was slowly becoming worse by every measure. It suffered decades of progressivism, and over-immigration. The liberals just took it over the speed limit. It was in long term relative economic decline, it suffered DEi racism t the max. Housing prices were already astronomic for local incomes, and suffered the social disease of smugness – which blinded it to all that.

I wish that were the case, but the open-source movement is also heavily infiltrated and controlled. Zero-day exploits are everywhere, even in Linux (copy.fail + dirty.frag are recent examples) and TailsOS.

I have an OpenWRT router and used a double-VPN, which is helpful. But, even that cannot stop spy agencies from pushing spyware onto your computer that is signed by the OS publisher.

You cannot defeat a FISA warrant with technology. This is unfortunately part of Edward Snowden’s psyop that so many have fallen for.

I also haven’t lived in a Five Eyes country since June 2021.

spook-related activity is on an uptick these days. neither of the attacks described would have worked on linux/openwrt based hardware. also, probably a good idea to consider getting further away from 5 eyes countries, or however many eyes they have now. practically speaking that rules out all of nato, probably have to include south america at this point as well.
