If you read his work, you will see it was very well documented.
You really believe his BS that he needed to hire actors to pretend to be real character in this book. Or that he need to convert to Catholicism to do a prank lasting 15 years.

You are very gullible, a proud ignorant, those are the worst.
Happy like a pig in his muck of cluelessness.

Enjoy your muck, what else can be said.

You're hilarious.

Just because there was an actual lady named "Diana Vaughan" working with Taxil in creating the hoax, doesn't mean the Diana Vaughan of the hoax is real. Same goes for Hacks and their co-pseudonym Dr. Bataille.

Taxil also died a decade after the confession, not months as you say.

"Very well documented work"

Do tell, what confirmed legitimate documents did Taxil ever present in his nearly 2,000 page tabloid? Sources matter, especially when you're spinning yarns as big as he was.

There is no issue with his statement and what I said. The pagans since the ancients and times of Plato and Aristotle had rational moral discourse, and the accounts of the gods and heroes were used analogically. This was true from Greece to the far East, and is exactly what your quotation demonstrates - that Christianity has many of the same logical and moral teachings as the Pagan poets and philosophers, and even built upon their logical foundation as Aquinas did and even as early as the first mention of the logos in St. John's Gospel. Similarily if the pagans were to critize Christianity on account of it's supernatural and miraculous history, the pagans were confronted with the fact that they likewise had their own supernatural accounts.

This is not evidence that Christianity plagurised or copied and then rewrote their own counterfeit version in an attempt to start a new religion, assuming that what you alluded to. Similar to beginning with the accounts of the Torah to demonstrate their continuity and fulfillment to convert Jews, a similar approach was used to convert the pagans, who were unfamiliar with Jewish history and scripture, by referencing what they were familiar with, though unlike Jewish Tradition, which was considered factual and inerrant, the pagan myths were at best considered distortions or well intentioned works that were at the time the best that fallen human reason alone could accomplish.

There is an alternative history to Lucifer, the bearer of Light, as the civilization that, orphaned of its home planet who blew up in an act of so called "Green terrorism", eventually sought refuge to planet Earth.

The traces of this planet is the asteroid belt along with the comets with their highly elliptic orbits, as well as Jupiter and Saturn rings.
Another trace is the Moon, de facto an artificial satellite used as a lifeboat and then parked on Earth orbit.
In fact there are many scientific theories about the origin of the Moon, meaning there is no real good scientific explanation to it whilst it remains a gravitational and planetary oddity.

In fact the Moon brought light to the night sky and with it it influenced life on Earth, it made the predators bolder during the full Moon periods, presenting unexpected opportunities of an additional hunting expedition, whilst at the same time making the preys more weary of this 28 day cycle, thus causing a long emotional influence in the genetic background of evolving Earth life.

The details of the Luciferian civilization and their migration to planet Earth can be found in this article:

If you can read French, then you can read the French wikipedia page on the subject:

https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Affaire_L%C3%A9o_Taxil
"Carbuccia avait assisté à tant de miracles diaboliques qu’il se disait damné, lors de sa dernière réunion avec le Palladium il avait même rencontré le diable. Le docteur Bataille aida Carbuccia à se réconcilier avec la religion catholique, avant de se lancer lui-même dans l’exploration de la franc-maçonnerie et de l’occultisme"

https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Hacks
Pierre Renaud Charles Hacks est un médecin et essayiste français... connu pour sa collaboration littéraire avec Léo Taxil.
Il est médecin à bord des bateaux de la Compagnie des messageries maritimes.

Charles Hacks did exist and it his book, not the Taxil fraud.
You know Taxil destroyed 15 years of hard and very well documented work against freemasonry whith just this 1 discourse that everyone parrot today and he died few months after.
You need to read at least part of what he wrote before to decided if his last discourse was BS or not (Which it clearly was).

Without wanting to sound rude, I am amazed a very famous website like zerohedge publish your biased posts made without real investigation and clearly lacking truth. Anyway, your free-masons friends must be pleased with you.

You appear to be working from an apologetics manual regarding what St. Justin Martyr said. I've linked to his entire apology, and he addresses the charges of similarities to pagan myths many times. His whole argument is "We believe what you believe, so why persecute us?"

In reply to <a href="https://bombthrower.com/decoding-the-taxil-hoax-part-1/#comment-151117">Mr. E</a>.

You have reached one erroneous conclusion via the quotation of St. Justin Martyr, by presuming it serves as evidence that Christianity "borrowed" it's theoogy from paganism. Presuming that the Truth can't share some similarities with errors.

You've misunderstood that what St. Justin, and others like St. Augustine and the other Church Fathers are doing is engaging with apologetics against their pagan opponent's criticisms. The pagans would claim that Christian beliefs such as the virgin birth, and Resurrection were not believable, and in turn, Justin and Augustine and others would point out similarities in their pagan myths and demand to know why they had no problem accepting one but not the other, and if they were to reject Christianity on such rationales, they ought to also logically reject their own paganism.

Also the planet Venus, which researchers like Emmanuel Velikovsky considered a comet in the ancient pagan world, a newcomer to the solar system that got caught in the Sun's gravity to be where it is now, was known both for it's beauty, and for the dread it inspired when various accounts describe it in apocalyptic terms on it's course past the Earth. So even Aphrodite had a terrible side. So Venus and Lucifer have been considered a symbolic type and analogy for the fall of the devil. But of course are not the devil.

Either way, it is good to get to the bottom of what the Taxil Hoax is.

Sorry, but no. There's no contextual problem with Justin Martyr. He even goes on to say that these older stories of gods were the work of the Devil to lead people away from JC.

"Adonai" appears in the Hebrew Bible over 400 times as a reference to God. You should try looking some time.

Charles Hacks, however, doesn't exist.
