Just because there was an actual lady named "Diana Vaughan" working with Taxil in creating the hoax, doesn't mean the Diana Vaughan of the hoax is real. Same goes for Hacks and their co-pseudonym Dr. Bataille.

This was true from Greece to the far East, and is exactly what your quotation demonstrates – that Christianity has many of the same logical and moral teachings as the Pagan poets and philosophers, and even built upon their logical foundation as Aquinas did and even as early as the first mention of the logos in St. John's Gospel. Similarily if the pagans were to critize Christianity on account of it's supernatural and miraculous history, the pagans were confronted with the fact that they likewise had their own supernatural accounts.

You appear to be working from an apologetics manual regarding what St. Justin Martyr said. I’ve linked to his entire apology, and he addresses the charges of similarities to pagan myths many times. His whole argument is “We believe what you believe, so why persecute us?”

You have reached one erroneous conclusion via the quotation of St. Justin Martyr, by presuming it serves as evidence that Christianity "borrowed" it's theoogy from paganism. Presuming that the Truth can't share some similarities with errors.

You've misunderstood that what St. Justin, and others like St. Augustine and the other Church Fathers are doing is engaging with apologetics against their pagan opponent's criticisms. The pagans would claim that Christian beliefs such as the virgin birth, and Resurrection were not believable, and in turn, Justin and Augustine and others would point out similarities in their pagan myths and demand to know why they had no problem accepting one but not the other, and if they were to reject Christianity on such rationales, they ought to also logically reject their own paganism.

Also the planet Venus, which researchers like Emmanuel Velikovsky considered a comet in the ancient pagan world, a newcomer to the solar system that got caught in the Sun's gravity to be where it is now, was known both for it's beauty, and for the dread it inspired when various accounts describe it in apocalyptic terms on it's course past the Earth.
