I often worry about the crop of young adults who had social media in their lives from a young age on. Some day they will be in leadership positions- that thought gives me pause...
While I have to put up with the wrath of family/friends, my policy is to have absolutely no social media on my phone. None whatsoever. Like you, my use of social media is primarily for business. So, I post, logout and then go and enjoy the physical world. A while back Google had two floors in same building where I had my office. My colleagues and I would often see Google people when having lunch out- they would be the 15 or 20 people sitting a big table with no one talking or looking at each other and everyone with their heads down looking at their respective phones.
