But it is also endlessly surprising how little life has changed in the past 50 years. The Pittsburgh suburb I grew up in looks identical today as it do in the 70s. Whereas between the 1920s and 1970s those same areas had been totally transformed. Physical reality changes more slowly than it used to. There will be plenty of need for competent people. Maybe more than ever. The tubes on those matrix pods aren't going to clean themselves you know!
