For a while, Elon Musk left a tweet pinned to the top of his X account that read “X as humanity’s collective consciousness.” Although it seemed innocuous, the metaphysical undertones of the message alluded to an underlying influence that categorically shapes the agenda of the ruling elite: esotericism. While the idea of a collective consciousness is often examined through an exoteric lens in which its surface level application on a sociological level is analyzed, the deeper dimensions of the concept give insight into the motives behind what drives the ruling elite.

The power harnessed from that deeper knowledge is evident from the god complex the elitists in the upper-most echelons of society exhibit. In an age of ascending technocracy influencing the fabric of society instilled by the powers that be which govern it, another esoteric concept illustrates not only how they operate but what their ultimate aims are.

That all-enveloping concept is that of the Demiurge. Although the term is rooted in Platonic philosophy, schools of Gnosticism would most heavily influence its development. To the early Christians that would later be labeled by the church as Gnostics to make their iconoclastic beliefs against the ruling ecclesiastic order seen as heresy, the creator of the material universe was not a benevolent figure.

Instead, the flaws of material existence which even mainstream Christianity would come to hold as being the force creating sin and evil were the byproduct of a malevolent creator. In its role as the creator of the material realm, the Demiurge was subordinate to a supreme creator whose omnipotence shaped being beyond the realms of finite human perception all but entirely shaped by the tangible world.

Though subordinate to a higher power, the Demiurge held domain over his material creation. That dynamic parallels the manner in which the ruling elite govern the world as they seek to reshape humanity in their own image, mirroring the Gnostic conception of creation. In this epoch of humanity, nothing is more analogous to the role of the Demiurge than the growing influence of technocracy.

One of many means by the technocratic elite employ to achieve their aims is the use biotechnological innovations meant to change the fabric of society and reshape the very foundations of humanity in their image. As it was written in Genesis 1:27, God made mankind in his own image. While that tenet of Christianity is accepted without refutation, its acceptance has alienated its adherents from examining the deeper meaning of the text which give further credence to the beliefs that the elite build their god complex on. In the verse immediately before Genesis 1:27, a different picture of how mankind was created is given. Although its difference to Genesis 1:27 is only slightly nuanced, it raises doubt about the dominant Christian belief of a single creator. Genesis 1:26 reads:

“Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

The use of the word ‘our’ is one of many instances of the application of the plural form of the Hebrew word ‘elohim’, meaning god(s) depending on the verbiage it is paired with. Although whether or not the word is appropriately used in its plural form is a point of debate for theologians, linguists, and the like, one prevailing school of thought is that its usage in the Old Testament and elsewhere does indeed imply that the existence of a plurality of gods within the constraints of the religion.

The 12th century rabbinical scholar Maimonides, one of the most influential scholars of the Torah wrote that the use of the word not only referred to a plurality of gods but expounded upon how the elohim were divine beings who occupied the seventh of ten ranks in the hierarchy of Jewish angelology. The most often analyzed example of the use of the plural form of the word comes from Genesis 3:22 “And the Lord God said, ‘The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil.'” In that verse, the god believed to be YHWH is speaking to the figure of the serpent, who had tempted Adam and Eve to eat from the Tree Of Knowledge. The same imagery of a serpent is prominently featured in the illustration of Yaldebaoth, the Gnostic name of the entity who is the Demiurge.

The figure of Yaldeboath features across various Gnostic texts, including the Pistis Sophia which recounts its creation and subsequent generation of the material universe and mankind, as well as the Apocryphon Of John in which Yaldabaoth is one of three names given to the Demiurge with the others being Saklas and Samael. In the Talmud, the foundational authority of Rabbinical Judaism, Samael is known as the magistrate in the court of the Kingdom Of Heaven. In that subordinate role to God, Samael is tasked with judging the souls of men and as such gains the name ‘the accuser’ for the accusations he brings against their sins.

The title of ‘the accuser’ along with the word ‘adversary’ became translated as ‘ha-Satan’, with the prefix ‘ha’ indicating a divine form opposed to the word simply translated as ‘satan’ meaning adversary. Being bestowed this title led many to consider Samael as the serpent in the Book Of Genesis as his temptation of Adam and Eve was not an act of evil but a directive given to him by God in order to judge the righteousness of the creation of man. In turn, the interchangeability of the names Samael and Yaldabaoth across different schools of Gnosticism is the foundation of the belief that Satan is the creator of the material universe and thus the Demiurge. This is further evidenced by other Gnostic texts that equate Yaldaboath to the Roman god Saturn as well as the apocryphal works of the Gopsel Of Judas and the Hypostasis Of The Archons which both illustrate Yaldabaoth as a rebellious angel cast down from the heavens.

What makes the plural usage of the word ‘elohim’ so integral to the esoteric thought influencing the ruling elite is that it is the foundation of their belief that man can somehow ascend to the status of a god. No more is this evident than in the example of the Yale-based secret society Skull And Bones. The secret society is rife with symbolism alluding to Genesis 3:22, even recognizing the name Order 322 as one of its alternative title. The use of the allusion to Genesis 3:22 is most prominently featured on the esoteric order’s own emblem.

Since its founding in 1832 by students William Huntington Russell and Alphonso Taft, members of Skull And Bones have risen to some of the highest ranks in industry and politics in the United States, highlighting the presence of adherents of esoteric orders in the ruling elite. Alphonso Taft was the father of future US President and Chief Justice Of The Supreme Court William Howard Taft. In the 2024 Presidential Election, the two candidates George W. Bush and John Kerry were alumnus of Skull And Bones, a point astutely addressed by the late Tim Russert who raised the point with both the Democratic and Republican nominees in his capacity as the host of Meet The Press. Russert would die 4 years later in 2008.

Though it was shielded more carefully in days of old, the aspiration to ascend to the status of a godlike being shared by the vanguard of technocracy has become more visible in recent years. While the esoteric term ‘occult’ means to be hidden, the Demiurgian aims of the technocratic elite has become more apparent thanks in part due to supranational NGOs like the World Economic Forum.

Perhaps the most prominent of this ilk is the Israeli author Yuval Harari. His works Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind (2011), Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow (2016), 21 Lessons for the 21st Century (2018), and Nexus (2024) explore how biotechnological innovation is posed to be the catalyst for the next stage of human evolution. However, unlike evolution arising out of the natural order of life, Harari postulates that the technocratically instilled deterministic forces of humanity’s evolution will lead to a class of human beings who surpass others in mankind. According to Harari, “Homo sapiens as we know them will probably disappear within a century or so, not destroyed by killer robots or things like that, but changed and upgraded with biotechnology and artificial intelligence into something else, into something different.”

Harari has featured as a speaker for the WEF multiple times. Despite being featured for his theories on mankind’s future under the influence of biotechnological advancements, Harari is far from the only technocrat to take center stage in Davos.

The technocratic elite are ubiquitous across not just the WEF but other organizations whose pervasive influence has become more influential over leaders of nation-states throughout the world. By infiltrating governments worldwide and subjugating the autonomy of countries and the democratic recourse of their people against this dystopian vision for the future, the trajectory of history driving toward an epoch in which the technocratic elite may rule mankind as if they were gods is poised to occur sooner rather than later.

While the technocrats like Klaus Schwab, Yuval Harari, and Bill Gates are viewed as malevolent forces guiding mankind down this course of history, they share the same endgame of Elon Musk in many regards. While supporters of Musk see him as diametrically opposed to the likes of the WEF-axis of the technocratic elite, their affinity for him may be clouding their judgment.

Musk’s self-avowed goal of using X to serve as a digitized collective consciousness is motivated by esoteric philosophy as it draws clear parallels to the concept of the Askashic Records. This concept was put forward by the spiritual medium and founder of the Theosophical Society, Helena Blavatsky.

In many respects, Blavatsky is the matriarch of the New Age Movement that has assimilated the esoteric teachings of a forgone age into modernity. She put forward the concept of the Akashic Records as a compendium of all the thoughts, events, emotions, and intent throughout the whole of existence and time. Blavatsky drew upon the teachings she channeled from the ascetic Aryan adepts of the Great White Brotherhood. She drew from their teachings by choosing the Sankrit word ‘akasha’, meaning aether, to give a name to the concept.

The Sankrit word ‘akasha’ is also a homophone of the word ‘acacia’ which is a plant featured in the initial ritual for initiation into Freemasonry, symbolizing gnosis or godly knowledge. The symbolism of the word is derived from a tale in which a sprig of the plant is used to mark the burial mound of Chiram Abiff, the Phoenician architect sent to Jerusalem by King Hiram I of Tyre, who sent him to Jerusalem in order to build Solomon’s Temple as his understanding of gnosis made him uniquely capable of achieving. The Masonic ritual is meant to imbue the importance of guarding the secrets that initiates to the rite are entrusted with being stewards of.

While Musk’s tweet may not seem to draw heavily upon these elements, a holistic view of his endeavors illustrates the aims he shares with other technocratic elitists whose motives are undoubtedly shaped by esoteric influences. The most prominent of these endeavors is Neuralink. As it enters into higher stages of clinical trials, Neuralink is poised to reshape the inner machinations of the human mind.

While the brain implant is being marketed for its medical applications, those are undoubtedly not the full extent of its potential. If brain implants like Neuralink were to be ubiquitous across the whole of humanity, they would theoretically serve as the agent which drives the creation of a digital version of the Akashic Records.

Neuralink is not the sole endeavor of Musk’s that shares these esoteric undertones either. SpaceX chiefly exists as the means by which Musk hopes to achieve his ultimate aim of making human life interplanetary. That mission is embodied by his ultimate goal of creating a human settlement on Mars. However, Musk is not the only rocket scientist whose fascination with Mars fueled his work.

Jack Parsons, the founder of Jet Propulsion Laboratory was renowned for his contributions to aeronautics. Parsons invented the first rocket engine to use composite rocket propellants. Other contributions of his to the field of rocket science were fundamental to the early achievements of NASA, which assimilated JPL into it as its first contractor following Parsons’ mysterious death in 1952.

The enigmatic demise of Parsons was the conclusion of a life shrouded in mystery. Parson’s posthumous legacy as one of the most influential rocket scientists in history the esoteric motives that drove him to achieve what he had.

Throughout his life, Parsons had been fascinated by esoteric studies. It is rumored that he even began many test launches of his rockets by performing a ritual invoking the Greek deity Pan. His interest in the occult would lead to him forming relationships with Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard as well as the infamous occulist and ceremonial magician Aleister Crowley. Parsons’ became a high ranking members of the Ordo Templi Orientis, a para-Masonic order headed by Crowley. He also became one of the most influential adherents of Crowley’s novel religion of Thelema.

In 1946, Parsons and Hubbard engaged in a ritual referred to as the Babalon Working put forward in Crowley’s 1929 novel Moonchild in an effort to invoke the eponymous Thelemic deity. Following the ritual, Persons would become disenfranchised by Thelema after his wife left him for Hubbard. She and Hubbard subsequently went on to defraud Parsons of his life savings, prompting him to resign from the OTO despite Crowley entrusting him to head its principle lodge in California in 1942.

Parson’s infatuation with the occult ultimately led to his demise as it didn’t just cost him his life savings but his livelihood in the field of aeronautics. In 1944, he was forced out of JPL and his other company Aerojet due to his affiliation with the OTO. Those connections also led to him being a political target during the McCarthy era as Crowley and Parsons alike were loosely affiliated with Marxist movements.

This left Parsons unable to work in the rocket science industry in the US, relying on a consulting role with Israel’s rocket program as one of the only sources of his income before he would ultimately die in a home laboratory explosion which was been steeped in unresolved speculation as to whether or not he was murdered to this day.

While Parson’s untimely demise saw him die at just 37 years old, his influence lived on. One of his contemporaries, former Nazi rocket scientist brought to the US by the CIA through Operation Paperclip, Werner von Braun, was one of many influenced by Parsons’ work. During his contributions to NASA’s space program, von Braun wrote a novel titled Project Mars: A Technical Tale in 1949 while he was stationed at Fort Bliss in New Mexico. The work of fiction was set during the first human mission to Mars in the 1980s.

The humans leading the expedition to Mars in von Braun’s novel make contact with humanoid Martians bearing a strikingly resemblance to an entity Crowley had encountered whose government was run by a council of ten, the head of which was referred to by their title of “the Elon.” Although von Braun’s novel wasn’t published until 2006 due to 18 different publishers rejecting it due to his history as a Nazi, its technical appendix written in 1952 was published in 1953.

The novel serves as somewhat of a template for the history that could be made if Musk is able to achieve his ultimate aim of colonizing Mars. If he is able to do so, the progression of humanity from Earth to Mars would undoubtedly thrust Musk into godlike status. That potential chain of events doesn’t just parallel von Braun’s novel but also has echoes of the Mesopotamian creation myth chronicled in the Book of Enki. The Sumerian concept of extraterrestrial intervention being the impetus of human creation is chronicled in the works of author Zecharia Sitchin.

Throughout his career, Sitchin analyzed this theme in Sumerian culture. Sitchin’s focus would hone in on the Anunnaki, a pantheon of eight deities who like the Demiurge had domain over planet Earth. Sitchin theorized that the Anunnaki were actually an advanced humanoid extraterrestrial species whose interplanetary travels brought them to Earth and whose influence accelerated the development of human civilization, a theme that resonates in von Braun’s work about humanity colonizing Mars and Elon Musk’s desire to do so in reality.

Werner von Braun was not the only Nazi to be influenced by esoteric concepts like the Anunnaki. Nazism itself rose out of the influence of esotericism on the elite. The foundation of that historical progression was rooted in the nationalist movement that swept across Europe in the late 19th century which were fomented by Freemasonry. Central figures of the Italian Risogimento which led to the unification of Italy were members of esoteric orders.

Giuseppe Mazzini and Giuseppe Garibaldi were at the forefront of that movement and both were Freemasons. Garibaldi would go on to found the Masonic Rite Of Memphis-Mizraim. The leadership of the Rite Of Memphis-Mizraim eventually fell into the hands of a German-axis of occultists, notably Carl Kellner and Theodor Reuss. Reuss was the last Grand Hierophant of the rite. He also was the founder of the Ordo Templi Orientis. While Aleister Crowley is the person who is remembered for the OTO, he usurped the para-Masonic secret society from Reuss.

The OTO wasn’t the only byproduct of the Rite Of Memphis-Mizraim that had the fruits of its labor manifest in an esoteric influence on the ruling elite determining the course of history. An offshoot of the rite more relevant to that historical materialism was the Thule Society. It was founded by a mason within the Rite of Memphis-Mizraim named Rudolph von Sebottendorf.

Ultimately, its members would create the National Socialist German Workers Party. Adolf Hitler, Heinrich Himmler, and Rudolf Heß were just a few of the founding members of the NSDAP to be members of the Thule Society. Although Hitler gravitated to the political dimension of the society’s aims, Himmler and Heß maintained their fascination with the esoteric and occult for the remainder their lives. Heß’s decision to fly to Britain to negotiate a secret piece was prompted by his astrological readings. As head of the SS, Himmler would found a division within it dedicated to exploration of the occult named the Ahnenerbe. The SS insignia itself is taken from the Armanen Runes channeled by the German Volkisch occultist Guido von List. Although the Thule Society is often credit for being the first group in the Volkisch Movement that overtook Germany at the turn of the 20th century leading to the rise of Aryan supremacy to revitalize the swatzika, that credit should rightfully be recognized as being done by Jörg Lans von Liebenfels, who incorporated a swatzika into the heraldry and vexilography of the Order Of The New Templars nearly a quarter of a century earlier in 1900.

Although members of the Nazi Party would distance themselves from von List and von Liebenfels, their development of Ariosophy was crucial to the dawn of the Volkisch movement in Germany. The Order Of The New Templars was created in an effort to instill a desire for a fascist state in the German zeitgeist. Ariosophy itself was a vestige of the influence of Theosophy. The secret order was a precursor to the Thule Society which served as a model for how esoteric orders would influence the political climates of nations in order to install a ruling elite under their influence.

Following the conclusion of the Second World War, the overt fanaticism that was used by esoteric orders to shape society took a much more covert approach. Instead of radical populist movements, the elite turned to more exclusive organizations including NGOs, PIRGs, and the like such as the Bilderberg Group, Club Of Rome, and World Economic Forum. Although this new approach was much more sterilized than that which drove the rise of fascism in the early 20th century, each of those groups also sought to advance the agenda of an elite ruling class like its predecessors influence by esoteric order had. Technocracy simply replaced overtly esoteric philosophies as the foundation of what drove these new political vehicles.

Despite the evolution of this tactic, the ultimate aim of the technocratic elite ultimately still shares an important commonality with the esoteric influences that drew upon the concept of the Demiurge. Just like the process detailed in the Gnostic tradition, the aims of the technocratic elite to create a the world in their image are confined to the material realm. Gnosticism teaches that the inherent flaws of the material existence fashioned by Yaldabaoth are what created the strife that plagues mankind.

Unlike a supreme creator, the creation of the realm the Demiurge holds domain over is made through material and not ethereal means and as such cannot escape imperfection and the woe that manifests from it. Those imperfections of material existence that serve as the foundation for evil are even more pronounced in the technocratic Demiurge of this age. Yet unlike the apocryphal texts of the Gnostics that were made verboten by the church by being labelled as works of heresy, the reality of the aims of the technocratic elite of this epoch is impossible to dismiss.

World Domination in An Age for Lucifer

 

“This book explores a strange new spirituality about to enter into competition with other established religions. My purpose here is to convince you that its emergence is probable, if not inevitable.


I begin this exploration with an unproven assumption based on Darwinian evolutionary principles: a new predator will appear on our planet, an evolutionary prototype designed to prey on humans. Another assumption then follows: this predator will evolve gradually and incrementally from humanity, just as we apparently evolved from lower forms to prey on them.

A further assumption suggests that these predators have already appeared as evolutionary prototypes, as new humans with advanced methods of survival and new forms of spiritual expression and religious organization designed to support and advance their predation.“

Robert C. Tucker was a Canadian psychologist who worked with an organization called COMA – Council On Mind Abuse (not to be confused with his namesake, an American political scientist who covered the Soviet Union and wrote a biography of Stalin).

Our Tucker worked with “adult survivors and child victims of ritual abuse“ and spent time interviewing self-described “Satanists”. His book was more of a thought experiment, which tried to identify an impelling idea behind the ideology of a cult:

“with destructive cultism, however, I sensed something else animating these stories of Satanic activity and ritual abuse, something familiar yet unspoken. Satanism was a puzzle behind which it hid, or a myth beneath which it lived. Like cultism, Satanism seemed to point at something beyond itself“.

Tucker’s book is not about Satanism: it’s about a theorized class of spiritual predators he called Luciferians. In later chapters, Satanists are almost dismissed as cartoonish, lower order predators. They would be shunned by truly elite Luciferians. “Distant cousins”, at best.

Where Satanists pursue unrestrained ego and impulse gratification, Luciferians play the longest game of them all, and seek to attain Godhood itself. Pure power.

Tucker posits that this type of impulse would emerge out of evolutionary imperatives and that it would begin to form its own psycho-spiritual framework among participants – possibly on a subconscious level.

COMA spent much of its existence waging legal battles with the cults they sought to protect the public from. However, after a protracted lawsuit from the Church of Scientology, Tucker announced COMA’s dissolution in 1992.

But there is something in Tucker’s book, particularly how he ‘described the merging goals of cults and corporations:

“We have to recognize that cults are successful organizations with techniques now being borrowed by other successful organizations”’

Arguably one of the most successful organizations in existence today, is the World Economic Forum. World leaders are known to emerge from annual conclaves chanting the same mantra, nation states actively fund them, the WEF boasts of having penetrated the world’s governments and even the UN seems to take its cues from Davos.

In past articles, I’ve been looked at the thin scab of elites that sits atop the global cap table.

Class structure, now and future

And the story so far is:

While many view the Davos elites as a global, all-encompassing cabal, which Controls Everything™, I could never quite bring myself to accept that description. The fact is, the world is inherently uncontrollable.

We can stipulate that people and groups can acquire outsized influence, then use it to do morally bankrupt things in order to further their own aims. We can further agree that the higher up the sociopolitical hierarchy from where these agendas originate, the more likely it is that the consequences  are borne most heavily by the plebes. Most of the time, those whose machinations were responsible for catastrophic outcomes, escape being held to account for it.

I said most of the time

But the world we live in today is proof positive of one thing: nobody is in control of anything. Further, these esoteric under-currents we explore below are bringing us back around to one of those times  when the people who think they’re in charge won’t get a walk.

However, like Tucker, I look at agendas like Stakeholder Capitalism, The Great Reset or The Great Narrative (or whatever it’s being called these days), and sense something behind it. “Something that points beyond itself”.

Years ago, in what feels like another life-line (a.k.a “Before Covid”), I was supposed to be writing  a book about the dangers of techno-utopianism. In it, I was already recognizing transhumanism as a kind of religion, and deemed it one of the four ideological pillars of techno-utopianism (the other three being: AI, technocracy and fully automated luxury communism).

Very early in my work on that, I concluded that techno-utopianism was ultimately a Luciferian construct. Not necessarily literally Lucifer, but that the aspiration to “usurp God” was Luciferian in character (the plan was for the final section of the book to propose a counter-framework called “techno-realism”, based on humanity’s hyper-adaptability as a superior approach to central planning).

When we seek to shape the world through technocracy – not to mention reality itself through transhumanism and AI – we are pursuing a uniquely eschatological event known as “The Singularity”: a point in time when our technology becomes the base layer of reality.

It is probably not the first time we thought we were capable of leveraging our gizmos into Godhood. The legend of Babel hints at a prior iteration, one that didn’t end well. We don’t know for sure where mythology borders pre-history, but whatever happened most certainly left deep grooves in our collective psyche.

When you consider the positioning and branding of the WEF, with their certitude and paternalism, it all makes a lot more sense when viewed  as a cult instead of a cabal. Cultists know all, they have the inside track – and most importantly, they claim moral authority over us all by Divine Right.

The stated objectives of the World Economic Forum:

From their institutional report “to stakeholders”, the WEF pursues  three Phases of Interaction:

Our activities drive communities through three phases of interaction, each resulting in increased impact:
1) stimulating dialogues and generating insights;
2) shaping agendas and developing influence; and
3) catalysing initiatives and generating impact.

…which in that characteristically banal WEF-speak, is a dog whistle for world domination.

They feel no compunction about it.  An Age for Lucifer posits the emergence of a type of human whose beliefs hold the adherents to be higher up the spiritual food chain than everybody else. Literally a breed above.

The key component of Luciferian metaphysics is predation.

“reality is layered from the physical to the spiritual. Pure power thrums only in the higher reaches of the spiritual domains. The higher dominates the lower. Spirit determines matter, not the reverse… Elitism is of the essence here; only powerful spiritual adepts and Luciferian masters deserve to occupy the higher realms and to enjoy the the benefits found only there.”

If we replace all instances of “spiritual” in the above passage with “intellectual”, then we have an accurate model for the ideological framework of “Davos Man”, because the entire elite ontology (or what passes for it) rests upon radical material reductionism.

And materialism, at its core, is pure nihilism.

There is no spirit. We have no souls. There is only matter, and lower humans are merely “hackable animals”.

Everyone has likely seen this montage, but it does capture “The Essential Harari”, who I personally think talks about all this in more of a descriptive than prescriptive timbre. But he is undeniably a Davos darling and when you get him going, he has that pronounced Dr. Strangelove-style glee.

Through the utter domination of what is intellectually permissible – and with expert technocratic oversight – matter can be subjugated to models …and elites can ascend to Godhood. All in a metaverse of their own making.

Cabals are self-serving and mundane. And while Davos Man is certainly that, a cabal is missing that essential element that makes for full-throated commitment – that thing that “points beyond itself”. Participants in a cabal will abandon it the moment it ceases to serve their interests… but cultists will double-down. They will burn themselves alive and eat their children. They are ideological berserkers.

The WEF is by no means the world’s first world domination cult. It has been said that the Nazis were also better understood as a cult than a political party, as per Peter Levenda:

the Nazi Party [not being] a political party the way most of us would understand it, but a cult, still remains the best characterization of the Nazi phenomenon that I can find. It also goes a long way toward helping us to understand how it could have survived the way it did, and still influences the ideas and actions of peoples and political leaders around the world.

The organizing principle of the cult describes what we see happening more than a mere cabal. Had the Nazi’s simply have been just  a cabal, they would have scattered with the collapse of the German military, but as many have researched (Levenda, Farrell, Marrs, et al), Nazism survived WWII, precisely because of their cult structure:

Nazism began as a cult, and survived as a cult. As an idea it is vague enough to attract a collection of philosophies and political movements around it, each seeing in the Nazi archetype a version of their own belief system; as a cult, it has the power to communicate viscerally to its followers through an elaborate symbol

But as we will now explore – being structured as a cult is only one side of it. The cult has to have some kind of secret sauce that gives it power, something that yet again, points beyond itself…

What is this thing “that points beyond itself?”

I frequently say that the reason I think Bitcoin ultimately prevails, and industrial-era central planning fails, is because the former has sprung forth from a higher order of intellectual abstraction than the hierarchical, centrally-planned one.

This is all part of an inexorable progression, an unfolding, if you will. It distinguishes itself from a techno-utopian singularity, in that it is not something we’ve seized control of and are expertly managing, it’s something coursing through us. Impelling us, in fact all living things, forward.

I’ve never found a great word to describe this “thing beyond itself” that runs through everything; obviously it’s the inspiration for spiritual movements throughout the ages, for mythological constructs.  I’ve always just called it “The Great Externality”. It’s the indescribable (“the Tao which can be explained is not The Tao”), and ineffable. It can be experienced as “I am”, but if you try to put that into a Ted Talk it’ll probably stiff.

When I talk about how the architecture of intellectual abstraction has shifted from centralized to networked, that’s just a surface attribute. I’ve never really done an adequate job of explaining the fundamental change in the level of intellectual abstraction and how important that is. Jean Gebser called it the aperspectival world in “Ever Present Origin”, his exhaustive study of the evolution of consciousness itself.

“The condition of today’s world cannot be transformed by technocratic rationality, since both technocracy and rationality are apparently nearing their apex; nor can it be transcended by preaching or admonishing a return to ethics and morality, or in fact, by any form of return to the past.

 

We have only one option: in examining the manifestations of our age, we must penetrate them with sufficient breadth and depth that we do not come under their demonic and destructive spell.

 

We must not focus our view merely on these phenomenon, but rather on the the humus of the decaying world beneath, where the seedlings of the future are growing, immeasurable in their potential and vigor”

Gebser wrote Ever Present Origin in 1949; it wasn’t translated into English until 1985. He understood that crises of modernity were brought about not by differing political views or even economic incentives, but in collisions between successive iterations of consciousness itself. Humanity, according to Gebser, arced over three broad phases of Unperspectival (we could barely differentiate our own minds from the wider experience of the world), Perspectival (linearity and rationality) and into Aperspectival (what comes next – a level that integrates those which came before).

Perhaps one way to make the analogy is to frame it as the layering of dimensional orders:

In the Unperspectival world, our minds basically merged with reality; we were largely undifferentiated as self-aware creatures. It was a zero-to-one dimensional existence:

‘The initial, archaic structure is zero-dimensional; it is thus spatial and temporal, although our present mentality, if it grasps this at all, will see this in a paradox. It is origin; only in a terminological sense is it a “first” structure emanating from that perfect identity existing “before” (or behind) all oneness or unity which it initially might have represented. It is akin, if not identical, to the original state of biblical paradise: a time where the soul is yet dormant, a time of complete non-differentiation of man and the universe.’

Over the Perspectival Era, we became self-aware and to underwent individuation, straddling two-to-three dimensional constructs. I’ve mentioned before W R Clement’s “Quantum Jump”, which described the Enlightenment as a leveling up in mental abstraction. The discovery of perspective in art both impelled and signified this jump.

The fiat, technocratic era, is essentially the tail end of this Perspectival mindset – and what comes next contains yet another higher-order dimension, an axis into an Aperspectival construct… like a hypercube.

How high does the dimensional ladder go?

In theoretical physics, string theory posits that our universe exists in ten dimensions.

A ten dimensional hypercube? Who on earth comes up with this stuff?

Anyway, this thing that points beyond itself isn’t arising from within the 3D construct that materialists assume forms the edges of existence. It comes from one level beyond.

There are phenomena that exist in this larger, super-reality that when experienced here, from within the perspective of our limited awareness, we struggle to contain within our senses. We may experience them as egregores or morphic fields, even a zeitgeist.  The Russian mystic Vedim Zeland’s concept of “The Pendulum” has aspects of both absorbing and channelling thought energy:

An energy pendulum is created when a group of people begin to think in a certain way and then:

“their thought energy finally unites into a single current. When this happens, as if in the middle of an entire ocean of energy, a separate, independent energy-information structure is created which is referred to as an energy pendulum. Eventually this structure begins to live its own life and subjugate to its laws the very people who created it.

The structure is referred to as a pendulum because the more people-adherents that feed it with their energy, the more powerfully it sways”

A pendulum is self-perpetuating with a single imperative: to draw as much energy into itself as possible. More importantly, it is agnostic about the energy charge – it doesn’t matter if people are in harmony with the pendulum or opposed to it. Both poles create the energy that the pendulum craves.

This is why the New Thought philosopher Neville Goddard’s advice about the need to renounce evil rather than resist it, is so important.

There is a great difference between resisting evil and renouncing it. When you resist evil, you give it your attention; you continue to make it real.

 

When you renounce evil, you take your attention away from it and give your attention to what you want.

 

Now is the time to control your imagination and give your energy to what you want.”

Pendulums can be benign or malevolent – the conditions that bring them forth make it so.

The world’s great religions can be seen as super-pendulums. Movements and cults could be minor ones.  In any case, once the pendulum has formed, active opposition to it only has one effect: to give it more energy and amplify it.

Techno-communism as typified by the WEF, and crypto-anarchism as embodied by Bitcoin, are both pendulums.

This is why taking up arms against the WEF doesn’t hurt the WEF – it strengthens it. And this is also why Bitcoin is an anti-fragile honey badger.

Pendulums feed on the energy of both their adherents and opponents, but their centre of gravity forms an axis through our experiential world and anchors them into The Great Externality. In Mark Stavish’s Egregores: The Occult Entities That Watch Over Human Destiny he describes it as

“more than an autonomous entity composed of, and influencing the thoughts of a group of people, it is also home or conduit for a specific psychic intelligence of a nonhuman nature connecting the invisible dimensions with the material world in which we live. This, in fact, is the true source of power of the ancient cults and their religious-magical practices”.

The WEF pendulum is distinctly Ahrimanic. 

Ahriman is traditionally an evil spirit of chaos from Zoroastrianism, however I’m drawing on the work of the Austrian mystic Rudolf Steiner, who had been trying to warn us of the coming Age of Ahriman almost exactly a century ago.

From lecture GA 191 delivered on 1 November 1919, Dornach (excuse the length):

Whenever preparation is being made for incarnations of this character, we must be alert to certain indicative trends in evolution. A Being like Ahriman, who will incarnate in the West in time to come, prepares for this incarnation in advance. With a view to his incarnation on the earth, Ahriman guides certain forces in evolution in such a way that they may be of the greatest possible advantage to him….

 

The right stand can be taken only by recognising in one or another series of events the preparation that is being made by Ahriman for his earthly existence. And the time has now come for individual men to know which tendencies and events around them are machinations of Ahriman, helping him to prepare for his approaching incarnation.

 

It would undoubtedly be of the greatest benefit to Ahriman… if the vast majority of men were to regard these preparations for the Ahriman-incarnation as progressive and good for evolution. If Ahriman were able to slink into a humanity unaware of his coming, that would gladden him most of all. 

Here’s the punch line:

One of the developments in which Ahriman’s impulse is clearly evident is the spread of the belief that the mechanistic, mathematical conceptions inaugurated by Galileo, Copernicus and others, explain what is happening in the cosmos.

Pure materialism. Pure reductionism. Pure Harari.

Steiner warns that:

“The consciousness of those human beings whom I have called devourers of soul and spirit is in a condition of dimness…; for by not accepting the spiritual into their human nature, they drive straight into the Luciferic stream everything they introduce … What men eat and drink without spirituality goes straight to Lucifer!”

Here Steiner is talking about spiritual predation and warning those who think they’re the predators, are actually the prey for the egregores they serve. (Ahriman and Lucifer were two separate incarnations in Steiner’s cosmology, yet they worked in concert across the three thousand years that separate their physical incarnations in earthly terms).

This materialist undercurrent that forms the basis of our conventional paradigm is anchored in this, and it cleaves our earthly existence away from our souls. Is it any wonder why reductive, technocratic impulses and hyper-normality increasingly permeate our elite institutions?

It isn’t so much  cognitive incoherence afflicting the psyches of those both attracted to and ensnared within the corridors of power, as aperspectival madness – a term coined by Ken Wilber, the integral theory philosopher who has picked up the baton from Gebser here in the West.

Wilber used the phrase in his 2017 ‘Trump in a Post-Truth World’, which is arguably a book from the left about excessive wokery and Trump Derangement Syndrome. We’re seeing these types of infections of the psyche play out in escalating waves, going under different names:

Hyper-normality; TDS; …apersepectival madness.

“Mass Formation Psychosis” being most recent.

Of course, our expert overlords are having none of it…

 

Some day they will inform us that “Experts say there is no higher-order reality” (string theory having been stricken down by MSM fact checkers).

But this soul sickness that threatens to overrun the world is the result of ignoring these higher order constructs, and of attempting to pack reality into a 3-dimensional, materialist box. Everything has to warp just to attempt to fit it all in there.

Pick Your Pendulum

The Party at Davos is increasingly being regarded as a malevolent and controlling force on society, and with ample justification.

Yet they seemingly wield so much power and wealth; how can one hope to counter their influence?

By actively going out there and resisting the WEF, you are giving your energy to it.

The key is to put your energy into what you want, not what you don’t want.

The counterbalancing pendulum to the Luciferian-inspired fully automated luxury communism of the WEF  is a distinctly Promethean construct – an impulse that had been building for decades, perhaps longer, and then revealed itself during the Global Financial Crisis.

That emergent impulse manifested in Bitcoin. I’ve described elsewhere the seemingly preternatural circumstances behind its emergence and the mind-boggling synchronicities I’ve personally experienced around it.

That trend has continued.

We’ve already had certain warnings  of the similarities between CBDCs and Revelations-style “number of the Beast” prophecies even before the freakishly numbered WIPO Patent 2020/060606 which described implantable digital-currency systems:

After that previous article, I wound up on Sats Radio where Moses made me aware of Revelations 2:17:

“Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. To everyone who is victorious I will give some of the manna that has been hidden away in heaven. And I will give to each one a white stone, and on the stone will be engraved a new name that no one knows except the one who receives it.”

You mean everybody gets their own private key? Kinda sounds like it.

So on one side, we have an implant or a mark on the hand or head “without which one cannot buy or sell or conduct business of any kind” – while on the other there’s this group of the victorious who have possession of their own private keys.

As I said in the other article, I don’t subscribe to Biblical prophesy in the literal sense that it predicts the future. What I do believe is that we exist in a multi-faceted reality that transcends the material, 3-D reduction, which conventional thought insists upon. These mythologies attempt to describe something glimpsed in hyper-dimensional constructs from beyond linear time.

Sidebar: Life is but a dream

(Here’s an analogy for how I look at these concepts: think of a dream. My guess is whatever is happening in them, is happening at light-speed. The reason I suspect this, is because you can experience a dream in which you seemingly pass hours, or even a lifetime – and then your snooze goes off, again. It’s been ten minutes.

When you’re still asleep, let’s say something starts to happen in the dream, usually a sound but maybe it manifests in other ways. It’s when you wake up that you realize your dream was reacting to something external to it, something happening in your waking world, like the doorbell ringing or a loud truck driving by.

When we wake up we have a hard time parsing what we experienced in the dream state – my theory there is because we dream in a super-dimensional construct with at least one extra axis – so of course it would be near impossible to unpack what happened in the hypercube back into 3D experience.)

I went on that tangent because I often suspect something like that is happening with synchronicities. Even prophesies or premonitions may be akin to this: an incursion into our waking world from some stimulus originating from a higher dimensional order outside of our conventional state. It would be exceptionally hard to make any sense of it because we’re missing a dimensional axis when we even try to think about it.

Our collective thought energies are responding to higher-order impulses, and we create or join pendulums. Those pendulums are further shaped by larger, underlying morphic fields and act as filters or bridges to The Great Externality. We gravitate into benign, healthy pendulums or malevolent self-defeating ones.

If we persistently engage in contemplative or spiritual practices, we may garner enough self-awareness to recognize these larger currents and make conscious decisions about which ones to put our energy into.

Conventional material reductionism would have it that our minds are just something our brains are gassing off, and there’s nothing more to it. But there is more to it than that, a lot more – and we aren’t consciously choosing what to think or how to steer our own evolution, as much as we’re akin to iron filings arranging ourselves in line with one magnetic field or another.

If we’re really aware, we can make a conscious decision around which one to align with. The majority of people just go with whatever ones they get swept up in.

Digesting it all

There will never be path function where the WEF either loses their power or reforms their ideals. The only option is irrelevance (which is why I’ve always told the cancel-culture and deplatforming crazies that the one, true magic bullet for killing a truly indefensible idea, is indifference).

The Party at Davos is under the impression that they are the vanguard of neo-Darwinist evolution – when it’s looking instead like they are functionaries of a larger morphic field that is distinctly Luciferian or Ahrimanic in character. This field encapsulates transhumanism, techno-Marxism, technocracy and social credit.

The antidote in our age is to choose a life path of radical sovereign individuality, and to embrace the Promethean impulse that gave rise to Bitcoin, public cryptography, and decentralization. This field is expressed through crypto-anarchy and network societies, yet with a grounding in spiritual expression, contemplative practices, family, community and tribes.

So when the next Davos meeting comes around, don’t bother picking up a placard and demonstrating in the streets; stack some sats and orange-pill your friends, family, neighbours and colleagues. That’s how we win.

Our elites want to live forever. The rest of us will make for rich compost

Fear of death is intrinsic to human life. As our years accumulate, we watch friends and family drop off, one by one, disappearing from our presence and lingering only in memories.

Barring some miracle, divine or otherwise, we’re all soon to follow, down to the sweetest baby ever born.

Unfazed by this horror, the faithful are emboldened by belief in resurrection or reincarnation—a direct participation in the eternal. For religious people, the body is just a vehicle for a transcendent soul. The mystery of death is a rite of passage.

For the materialist, there is only this world, beyond which the dying meet total annihilation. The brain dissolves into black nothingness. Consciousness stops with the Big Zero at the end of our lives. And for all sentient beings, and all memory of our existence, there awaits the Big Zero at the end of the universe.

The cosmos is nothing but atoms and the void. To make matters worse, the atoms are slowly freezing to death.

Wallowing in this trance of sorrow, our elites, and most anybody else, would pay anything to live forever—or just a little longer. Held in thrall by old age, disease, and death, they put faith in biomedical protection racketeers who swear they can keep the Reaper at bay.

Today, it’s the vaxx-addicts and maskholes.

Tomorrow, it’ll be needle-pocked mutants with blinking devices stuck all over them, who pray to AI for a place in the cloud.

Transhumanism offers synthetic salvation through three basic methods—bio longevity, bionic continuity, and digital immortality.

Genomics will stop aging on the cellular level. Bionics will keep the body running with replacement parts. Once artificial intelligence is sufficiently advanced, mind uploads will allow eternal communion with the digital deities whom techies are busy creating.

“I think that there’s a good probability,” the human-reptile hybrid, Jared Kushner, recently said, “that my generation is—hopefully with the advances in science—either the first generation to live forever, or the last generation that’s gonna die.”

A more likely scenario? This is the first generation to merge with machines, and the last generation to regret it.

Kushner is not alone. Many of our credulous elites, from Wall Street to the World Economic Forum, have been ensnared by a techno-religion. Its unfrocked priests are the scientists and futurists who push radical gene therapies, brain-computer interfaces, and various life-logging gadgets. As the actual technology becomes more and more sophisticated, you can be sure every atheist and his lapsed uncle will fall prey to this cosmic scam.

And for those who can’t afford it? Well, you know, there’s only so much room on the lifeboat.

Bio Longevity

In order to cheat death, at least for awhile, the first method is to preserve the body at the cellular level. One proposed line of attack is to correct defective genes and defuse the cell’s innate self-destruct programs. With the discovery of the CRISPR-Cas9 complex in 2012, geneticists now have the power to more easily knock out faulty genes, and even insert new, superior genetic codes.

Joe Biden’s recent executive order, the National Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing Initiative, has slated $2 billion for these “high-risk, high reward” projects to “write circuitry for cells and predictably program biology in the same way in which we write software and program computers.”

There are also less invasive procedures, to be used in conjunction with gene-editing, such as munching vitamins morning, noon, and night, or gaining self-knowledge through Internet of Bodies surveillance devices—wearable trackers which feed every biometric data point into an artificial intelligence system, putting flesh on the bones of your “digital twin.” In theory, the resulting simulation could be used as a reference for targeted gene-editing.

“By preventing 90 percent of medical problems,” Ray Kurzweil wrote in The Singularity is Near, “life expectancy grows to over five hundred years. At 99 percent, we’d be over one thousand years. We can expect that the full realization of the biotechnology and nanotechnology revolutions will enable us to eliminate virtually all medical causes of death.”

Inspired by this sort of statistical fantasy, Big Tech oligarchs are pouring billions into various life extension laboratories:

  • SENS Research Foundation – Co-founded by the transhumanist Aubrey de Grey in 2009, this organization seeks to halt and reverse aging. “No matter what caused a given unit of damage in the first place,” they assure us, “the same regenerative therapeutics can be used to repair it.”
  • Altos Labs – Founded by Jeff Bezos and the corporate transhumanist Yuri Milner in 2021, this is a “new biotechnology company focused on cellular rejuvenation programming to restore cell health and resilience, with the goal of reversing disease to transform medicine.”
  • Calico Labs  – Acquired by Google in 2015 at the behest of Larry Page and Sergey Brin, this company is focused on “the convergence of biology and technology, coupled with a long-term perspective and funding” with high hopes of “curing death.”
  • Methuselah Foundation – Bankrolled by Peter Thiel (along with many other immortality start-ups), this foundation is on a mission to “make 90 the new 50 by 2030.”

And the list goes on and on. By all appearances, billionaires fear death as if hell awaits, and they’ll pay any amount to avoid it. If you’re lucky, you too might add a few years to your life through trickle-down immortality.

Should these gene-therapies and 3D-printed organs fail to keep your carcass shambling along, there are always cryonic doctors who’ll freeze you right before you die, then thaw you out once these transhumanists finally get their shit together.

Alcor Life Extension Foundation, for example, charges $80,000 to freeze your head, and $200,000 for the full body treatment. It’s a small price to pay for a shot at immortality.

Bionic Continuity

The second method is to replace failing tissues and organs with mechanical parts. We do this already with pacemakers, prosthetic limbs, cochlear implants, dental implants, deep brain stimulation devices, and flag-raising penile implants. In a real sense, the entire plastic surgery industry—from hair transplants to rubber duck lips to silicone boobs—is a means to stave off our inevitable dissolution, if only on a superficial level.

Transhumanists foresee a day, just over the horizon, when more advanced prosthetics will offer superior functionality—including brain function. We’ll have Swiss Army knives for fingers and versatile artificial genitals, sort of like today’s transgenders, but presumably way better. Any prospective immortal had better hope so.

This cyborg dream was fleshed out in the early 20th century by the Marxist thinker J.D. Bernal. “Already we know the essential electrical nature of nerve impulses,” he wrote in 1929, “it is a matter of delicate surgery to attach nerves permanently to apparatus which will either send messages to the nerves or receive them. And the brain thus connected up continues an existence, purely mental and with very different delights from those of the body, but now perhaps preferable to complete extinction.”

Bernal compared this bionic transformation to the metamorphosis of a butterfly, albeit one with hideous wings. “Apart from such mental development as his increased faculties will demand from him,” he speculated, “he will be physically plastic in a way quite transcending the capacities of untransformed humanity.”

As we hurtle toward this nightmare in the 21st century, futurists claim it’ll soon be possible to model the entire human brain—down to the last electrochemical thought pattern—using artificial intelligence. The transhumanist guru Ray Kurzweil predicts this will be accomplished by 2029. (It’s unclear if that will be early in the year, or just in time for Christmas.)

Following an AI-created digital template, doctors will replace our dying neurons with artificial neurons. Bit by bit, our meat brains will be transformed into a latticework of lightning fast transistors. It’s an upgraded mind-brain that could last forever—so be sure to get a warranty.

Would this mechanical monster still be you, though? The idea is that a pattern is a pattern, and the human “soul” is just a pattern of information. It doesn’t matter what the medium may be. Think of it this way—if you replaced every thread in a sweater, strand by strand, with artificial wool, it would still feel like the same old sweater. Maybe even better.

In a similar manner, many believe your personal consciousness will survive the transition from gray matter to circuitry. This mind-machine merger would be like looking out at the world through your smartphone—forever. You’d hardly notice the difference.

“If you think about replacing the neurons one at a time by prosthetic neurons made of silicon,” explains the philosopher of consciousness and NYU-employed transhumanist, David Chalmers:

Just say I replace ten percent of my brain with silicon chips…do it one at a time, and keep going and keep going…and they interconnect with the other ones in a perfect way. … I think as long as you do it gradually, and replace the neurons one by one, then it’s gonna be like getting prosthetic limbs or [an] artificial heart.

You’re gonna be replacing parts of me, but I’m gonna be present throughout, and I think I could even stay conscious.

Of course, these artificial neurons haven’t been developed yet—not even close—but they will be one day. You’ll see. Have a little faith. Scientists are working hard. It’s a solid investment.

Digital Immortality

The third method to attain quasi-eternal life is basically the digital side of bionic continuity. Rather than, or in addition to, replacing neurons with artificial neurons, the mind will be gradually uploaded to a computer, where the patterns of one’s personality can be entombed in perpetuity.

Transhumanists delight in pointing out we’re already doing this. Everyone from toddlers to creaky old codgers is feeding their inner self into Google, Facebook, Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, third-party data vultures, and any intelligence agencies with backdoor access to these companies. Perhaps one day they’ll sell our digital twins back to us so we can inhabit our virtual wraiths.

“Currently, when our human hardware crashes,” Ray Kurzweil wrote, “the software of our lives—our personal ‘mind file’—dies with it. However, this will not continue to be the case when we have the means to store and restore the thousands of trillions of bytes of information represented in the pattern that we call our brains.”

Kurzweil believes injectable nanobots are the key to this uploading process. These microscopic robots will travel through the brain, mapping every neuron and synapse, creating a perfect facsimile of the “soul” in a computer. But there’s more than one way to skin a cat.

As with most transhumanists, Kurzweil was deeply influenced by the Carnegie Mellon roboticist Hans Moravec, who in 1988 described a gruesome uploading procedure now known as the “Moravec Transfer.” Basically, the patient commits suicide by having his or her brain scraped off, like whittling an onion, with each skin copied in silico:

You are fully conscious. The robot surgeon opens your brain case and places a hand on the brain’s surface. This unusual hand bristles with microscopic machinery, and a cable connects it to the mobile computer at your side. …

The surgeon’s hand sinks a fraction of a millimeter deeper into your brain, instantly compensating its measurements and signals for the changed position. The process is repeated for the next layer, and soon a second simulation resides in the computer, communicating with the first and with the remaining original brain tissue.

Layer after layer the brain is simulated, then excavated. Eventually your skull is empty…your mind has been removed from the brain and transferred to a machine.

Some would call this biohorror, but transhumanists revere the “Moravec Transfer” as a pioneering vision of synthetic salvation.

One of Kurzweil’s distinguished disciples, the transgender tech innovator Martine Rothblatt, proposes a kinder, gentler man-machine merger by way of mind-cloning.

“This blessing of emotional and intellectual continuity or immortality,” she (he? whatever) wrote in Virtually Human, “is being made possible through the development of digital clones, or mindclones: software versions of our minds, software-based alter egos, doppelgängers, mental twins.”

In other words, with sufficiently detailed surveillance, our personal data can be processed through artificial intelligence to create a new, more durable “soul” in silico.

“When the body of a person with a mindclone dies,” Rothblatt goes on, “the mindclone will not feel that they have personally died, although the body will be missed in the same ways amputees miss their limbs but acclimate when given an artificial replacement. … The mindclone is to the consciousness and spirit as the prosthetic is to an arm that has lost its hand.”

Having been baptized in electromagnetic waves, you will become your digital ghost, floating forever among the AI angels.

The metaphysics of this process make no sense, but then, why should the transhuman techno-cult be any more realistic than traditional cults? Their delusions would be funny if they weren’t constantly intruding upon our lives through ubiquitous screens and surveillance devices, and blasted into our brains with wall-to-wall propaganda.

“If anything,” Rothblatt conceded in a TED interview, “I’m perhaps a bit of a communicator of activities that are being undertaken by the greatest companies in China, Japan, India, the U.S., Europe.”

You have to wonder if we’ll have social credit scores in heaven.

So You Want To Live Forever—Good Luck With That

Humanity is composed of three primary elements—the spiritual, the biological, and the technological. At best, we are eternal souls enshrined in bodies, with exceedingly powerful tools in our hands. At worst, we’re bumbling monkeys in the Machine.

As the materialist worldview erodes our spiritual consciousness, we’re left with nothing but mortal bodies. When God is dead, technology is exalted as the highest power, holding out the promise of free WiFi and synthetic salvation.

The delusion of physical immortality, whether bodily or digital—or both—is capturing our elites’ imaginations. It doesn’t take a mathematical genius to figure out that if they actually managed to live forever, and the planet has finite space and resources, some number of us will have to become compost for their biomechanical gardens.

Personally, I don’t mind the idea of being turned into mulch. That’s the fate of every man and woman ever born. What is eternal will endure.

My fear, writhing deep in my paranoid brain stem, is that our technocratic rulers, sweating over flawed calculations, are willing to huck us into the mulchers long before our time.

God will not be mocked. Nor will Mother Nature. I’m certain that, in the course of time, every billionaire cyborg and half-retarded upload will shuffle off this mortal coil. Unfortunately, I also suspect they’d happily push the rest of us offstage while they do their apocalyptic jig.
