In the ongoing campaign of digital harassment and sabotage documented by Chris Horlacher, one of the most technical and intrusive episodes involves repeated compromises of his home routers in Mexico. These incidents directly affected Chris Horlacher’s ability to work, communicate securely, and access the internet—targeting only specific devices while sparing others on the same network.

This pattern aligns with advanced persistent threats, often linked to state-level or ISP-enabled capabilities.

Background: Part of a Broader Pattern

After fleeing Canada due to chronic digital intrusions and other events stemming from what he believed to be the lawsuits he just filed, Chris continued facing disruptions. VPN instability, selective device blocking, and unexplained connectivity issues prompted deeper investigation. Factory resets provided temporary relief, but problems returned rapidly—classic behavior of persistent malware or remote management exploits

The Attacks: Huawei HG8145V5V3 and ZTE F670L Routers

Key Anomalies Observed:

• 1981 Timestamps: Multiple log entries show dates like 1981-01-01. This is a strong indicator of Real-Time Clock (RTC) reset or deliberate log tampering/manipulation, often seen when firmware is altered or during boot-level interference. Security analysis reports explicitly flag these as “Backdated logs to 1981 (RTC reset or tampering).”
• Custom Firewall Rules & Selective Blocking: Firewall settings changed to “user defined.” Specific devices (Chris’s and his wife’s) lost internet access while others worked, consistent with targeted rules or a Remote Access Trojan (RAT).
• Rapid Re-infection Post-Reset: Issues returned within hours, even on a replacement router from the ISP (Telmex).

Numerous 1981-01-01 entries alongside PPPoE renegotiations, deprecated SSL methods, and DHCP NAKs (potential MAC spoofing or rogue activity). Frequent PPPoE sessions suggest possible DoS or disruption attempts.

Expert Security Analysis

Independent analysis by a professional (using SIEM-style detection) on both routers confirmed:

• TR-069/OMCI remote provisioning activity.
• Backdated logs and tampering indicators.
• Potential RAT presence and DoS patterns.
• Recommendations: Replace/reflash router, disable TR-069, scan devices, and isolate vulnerable hardware (e.g., older Smart TV).

TR-069 (CWMP) Vulnerabilities: This Broadband Forum protocol enables ISPs to remotely manage Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) like routers via an Auto-Configuration Server (ACS), often over port 7547. While intended for legitimate management, it is notoriously exploitable. Compromised ACS servers or weak implementations allow attackers full remote control, DNS redirection, firmware backdoors, and persistent access. It has been weaponized in botnets (e.g., Mirai variants) and enables exactly the selective targeting and re-infection seen here. Many ISPs do not allow users to fully disable it.

Implications

These attacks go beyond typical criminal hacking. The precision (device-specific blocking), persistence across hardware swaps, use of ISP-managed protocols, and alignment with other documented sabotage (e.g., Microsoft OneDrive tampering, email spoofing, bank disruptions) point to sophisticated actors with significant resources—potentially leveraging intelligence or ISP cooperation.

Combined with the broader evidence in the Factum (honeypot hits from government networks, Keybase anomalies, etc.), this leaves little doubt that Chris Horlacher’s infrastructure was under targeted surveillance and disruption.

I’ve been plugging away at finishing The CBDC Survival Guide – and we’re getting there, but once I was into the fourth draft I realized that while it’s a practical guidebook to understanding and navigating the coming Monetary Apartheid, it is comparatively mundane, in the sense that it doesn’t address the psycho-spiritual undercurrents of where all this heading.

This is partially because, even though what I see coming  has been something of a personal obsession of mine for going on for over thirty years, I don’t pretend to understand the wider, spiritual or extra-dimensional overtones of what’s happening. I just experience them, mainly as mind-bogglingly and statistically impossible synchronicities that reassert themselves over long waves rippling throughout my lifetime.

I’ve covered them in previous writings – how as a computer programming student at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario in the early 90’s I experienced The Mother of All Synchronicities, that after decades of dormancy, began re-emerging, building on a theme with the appearance of digital gold currencies in the early 00’s and then later, with the advent of Bitcoin.

The Synchronicity: Digital Money

I wrote about my Swedenborg Synchronicity previously in  The Spirituality Behind Bitcoin and again in The WEF Isn’t a Cabal, It’s a Cult – which looked at the Luciferian egregore that impels transhumanism and the Ahrimanic one behind technocratic globalism; and which went on a bit of a tangent to explain my pet theory on the structure of synchronicity

Recently, I came across the 3.5″ floppy disk on which I kept my journal back in my UWO/Fanshawe College days and found that the earliest entry in which I recorded The Synchronicity was 1993, and I wrote it about then as something that happened “two years ago”.

The basic details were this:

• I was writing an essay for school about smart card technology – and talked about the implications of having all of one’s transaction data traced and tracked electronically.
• In it, I cited a former roommate from when I was living in the lower Beaches in Toronto years earlier. He was a born-again Christian, and had warned me that bank and credit cards would evolve into bar codes, bar codes would evolve into implants, and implants were The Number of The Beast as foretold in Revelations 13:16-18, and on a whim, I closed out my paper with that verse:
  

   

  “And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand, or on their forehead,

   

  And he provides that no one should be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name.

   

  Here is wisdom. Let him who hath understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.”

• At the time, I was living in a boarding house on Forward Ave. in London, Ontario. My bed was a mattress on a couple of shipping skids, my house-mates included another full-blown alcoholic, also named Mark, an adolescent drug dealer who, in retrospect, I realize was a gang-banger, and an Iranian army deserter from the Iran-Iraq war who ended up becoming one of the Balaclava Bandits.
• The morning I handed in my essay at school, and according to my journal entry, I got back to the house around 8am and went back to bed for a couple hours (I was probably out all night before going straight to school to hand in the assignment). I was woken up by the sounds of the drug dealer roommate and an older-sounding person shouting in the living room. It was a bad scene, and I got myself the hell out of there, deciding to hop a bus up to DB Weldon Library at nearby University of Western Ontario, where my plan was to randomly pick a floor, and also randomly, pick a book off the shelf, and spend the rest of the morning reading.
• On the way there, I stopped at the 7/11 at the corner of Wharncliffe & Mt Pleasant and grabbed my last $5 out of the ATM, and I remembered giving my bank card extra scrutiny at the time, given what I had just written on the essay I submitted.
• As I described originally, I felt almost trancelike as I got off the bus on UWO campus in front of Alumni Hall,  headed over to the Weldon building, walked onto the elevator, got off on some floor (I didn’t even press a button, as the elevator had other people in it) – walked down an aisle, turned, walked, turned, walked – and then stopped – reached out, plucked a book off the shelf, and flipped it open:

• The book was “Apocalypse Explained”, by Emmanuel Swedenborg, who I had never heard of until that moment. I didn’t include this detail last time I wrote this up, but I do remember, in addition to my mind being completely blown wide open by what had just occurred, reaching into my pocket and pulling out my bank card again and counting the digits, in groups of 6 – the main card number having 16 digits, plus the two digit version code brought it to 18 digits – 6 + 6 + 6. I remember actually imagining those short, sharp stabbing violin sounds like from an Alfred Hitchcock movie, and needless to say, I was freaked out.

The Crossroads
(Dundas & Adelaide in London, Ontario)

In the months that followed, I managed to put this episode mostly out of my mind. In the run up to finishing my programming course at Fanshawe, I had moved out of that boarding house and joined a heavy rock group called Landslide, and admittedly, was taking a lot of drugs and drinking alcoholically (I ended up getting sober in 1999 and have been ever since, one day at a time).

Unless Landslide achieved the rock stardom we craved, it seemed I was destined to graduate and then go look for a job with some large corporation that had a lot of mainframe computers. Y2K was coming and augured a golden age for COBOL maintenance programmers.

But it was not to be.

One fateful day as I was on my way to campus and at the intersection of Dundas and Adelaide, where I normally switch buses, I spontaneously decided to skip my first class and take some time to peruse a New Age bookshop called “The Mystic Bookstore” which was (and still is) just “East of Adelaide” (Landslide was about to release “Songs in the Key of Disaster” which had a track called “E.O.A Blues”).

It was in that store where I had earlier purchased James Gleick’s “Chaos: The Making of a New Science” which was an important book for me, I still have it, dog-eared and marked with notes – it introduced me to the concept of “non-linearity”.

As I entered the shop, I immediately noticed there was new magazine on the shelf that I had never seen before.

It was called “Mondo 2000“, which I instinctively  picked up and started leafing through, and in that moment – I switched life tracks.

It was only the second issue (this website has them all archived here), and as I was standing there, astonished to discover that there was an entire counter-culture around computing – percolating around this ascendant new thing called “the internet”, my thought was that I had just been afforded a glimpse of the future.

This internet thing, I realized instantly, was going to change the world.

I had been reading it a few minutes, when a man off the street came into the shop and began screaming biblical verse at the clerk, (among them Rev 13:16-18!) and telling him that dabbling in the occult would mean doom for this bookshop and everybody involved with it.

My default reaction was of trying to tune him out – but it was hard. It had been two years since The Swedenborg Synchronicity and a kind of hyper-sensitivity  had set in around that passage and the number.

But here I was, holding this magazine, which, in my mind had just sent me a huge signal about the direction the entire world was headed.

The people in it didn’t look like typical computer nerds. They were reality hackers. They looked like me:  long hair and leather jackets, they were into partying and cutting code. Suddenly a banal, mundane career of a middle-class, white collar I.T. cubicle dweller seemed off the table, and my entire life trajectory had completely shifted. I knew that everything had just changed. 

Accompanying that – probably because this freak was still standing there shouting bible passages at the proprietor – was an awareness, or more accurately a suspicion, that the Swedenborg Synchronicity was an omen of some sort – that the world was headed for some kind of cosmic “face-off” that had been a long time coming. It had something to do with freedom vs totalitarianism, and was going to involve computer networks, and, solely because of that damned synchronicity, it involved money, finance and commerce.

True Names – The Battle For The Internet Root

Vernor Vinge’s 1981 short story, “True Names”,

“follows the progress of a group of computer hackers (called ‘warlocks’) who are early adopters of a new full-immersion virtual reality technology, called the “Other Plane”.

 

Warlocks penetrate computers around the world for personal profit or curiosity. They must keep their true identities (‘True Names’) secret even from each other and from the ‘Great Enemy’, the United States government, as those who know a warlock’s True Name can force him to work on their behalf, or cause a ‘True Death’ by killing the warlock in real life.”

It was one of the prototypical sci-fi stories ushering in the “cyberpunk” genre.

In the mid-90’s, I was living back in Toronto and had scored a job as employee #2 at one of the city’s first dial-up ISP’s, infroramp.net – after another mind-boggling synchronicity had me wind up doing a freelance programming gig at another office down the hall from them. As it so happened, Inforamp was initially a “Pipeline” franchise, which was an internet access company started by the aforementioned Chaos author, James Gleick.

By the early 00’s,  I was totally immersed in the internet business. Along with a couple of co-founders, we had started a DNS hosting company called easyDNS in 1998. The one thing I noticed in the run up to launch was that internet naming had indeed become the terrain over which pitched ideological battles about individual freedom vs. Orwellian control were being fought.

The early domain policy mailing lists were a magnate for activists, hackers, net.kooks and spooks – from which the future governance structure for the internet itself would emerge.

Among the pioneers of it all, Jon Postel – then editor of  the Request For Comment (RFC) proposal framework which to this day, proposes, defines and blesses the ever-evolving technical protocols that run the internet, wanted to transition control over the internet root itself.

We’re all used to seeing internet addresses, and they get referenced by different names depending on how they’re being used: a “web address” or “URL” (Uniform Resource Locator), an “email” address, you recognize them instantly – https://www.example.com or postmaster@example.com. But you have to be a DNS geek to fully understand what those dots in between the labels signify and why they’re there.

The DNS is an inverted tree structure where the dots between each label essentially demarcate control over everything that comes below it in the DNS hierarchy. They do that by delegating authority over a namespace below it to that domain’s “nameservers”  – think of them as servers (or servitors) that use a system daemon to answer DNS queries. The most common one in those days (still is #1 in terms of usage) is called BIND  (in this short video about the Mayalsian government blocking DNS resolvers, I whiteboard out how DNS queries work – and how you can circumvent government imposed blocks).

Reading an address like www.example.com, you start at the right side and read each label towards the left, there is an implied “.” after the “com” which is the internet root. Then there’s the “.COM registry” under which all addresses ending in “.com” are provisioned, and each address under it can themselves, hang more hostnames (“sub-domains”) like “www.example.com”, “app.example.com”, “voip.example.com” and so on.

The key point to know is that the dot at the top of the inverted tree, is where everything terminates – it effectively holds control over even the largest registry like .COM, because if you take the “nameservers” for any given section in the tree “out of the root” or out of its “parent zone” – everything below that disappears off the internet... (hold that thought).

In early 1998 Postel wanted to move that “dot” at the root of the internet naming system, it was then being overseen by the US government via the NSF, who in turn had awarded a monopoly contract to a relatively obscure technology company called Network Solutions (“NetSol”) in 1993. In 1995 , SAIC, a defence contractor acquired Network Solutions for $4.7 million.

Postel wanted to decentralize the internet root to a Council of Registrars (CORE) which had at the time already assembled 80 members and was gearing up to introduce seven new Top Level Domains (TLDs), among them, .web, .firm, .arts, .rec, .shop, .info and .nom.

At the end of January, 1998 he emailed the then-operators of the internet root servers, instructing them to stop loading the internet root zone from the government root (a.root-servers.net) and to begin loading the root from a data centre he had helped build at the University of Southern California (b.root-servers.net). This episode has gone down in internet lore as the time Jon Postel hijacked the Internet .

Clinton administration senior internet advisor Ira Magaziner went ballistic, emailing Postel “you will never work on the internet again”.

Magaziner remains a key figure in the Clinton machine – after his role crafting internet policy and co-leading (with Hillary Clinton) the failed Health Care Task Force, he went on to head up two Clinton Foundation units, including the  Clinton Climate Initiative.

Like Bill Clinton, Magaziner is a Rhodes Scholar – so named for Cecil Rhodes, the Freemason adventurer of the Gilded Age, who dedicated his life, and his fortune to furthering the “liberal imperialist” aims of a one-world British Empire.

And also like Clinton, Magaziner was a frequent-flyer on Jeffrey Epstein’s private jet, and his name appears in The Epstein Black Book,

In terms of the internet root – Magaziner had spearheaded a proposal of his own as laid out in what came to be known as The Green Paper,  which also called for the internet root servers to be moved out of US government control. But in this case, transferred to a single non-profit, private entity. That entity was taking shape as California-based Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).

• On September 17th, 1998 – the IANA and Network Solutions submitted a joint proposal to transition  the root to ICANN.*
• ICANN formally incorporated on September 30, 1998
• On October 16th, 1998, Jon Postel died of complications following heart surgery.
• In November, 1998, ICANN signed a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Commerce mapping out a process to take over operational control the Internet root.
• In March 2000, Network Solutions was acquired by Verisign for $21 billion in stock. Later that year – ICANN renewed the NetSol contract to operate .com and .net, they would have to relinquish control over .org in 2003. They still operate .com and .net to this day.

(*footnote – it wasn’t until I was proofreading this piece that I realized easyDNS had formally incorporated the next day).

Over the years – whenever something particularly egregious happened within the realm of internet governance – there would be calls for some manner of “P2P DNS” to replace ICANN, or Verisign (who, as the .COM operator, was a usual suspect in terms of doing something that got everybody’s ire up).

Whenever that happened, windbags like me would scoff at the idea and condescendingly inform the netizen activists that “DNS is an inverted tree hierarchy, P2P DNS is impossible because there would be no way to prevent name collisions” 

Then, on October 31st, 2008 – during the chaos of the Global Financial Crisis – the Satoshi White Paper dropped via the cypherpunks mailing list. This was the mailing list where ecash, cryptography and anonymity were being discussed for years – and it is speculated that the first post to cypherpunks-l positing the idea of a public blockchain, sent anonymously on 09, 19, 1999 – may also have been authored by the person or entity who would become known as “Satoshi Nakamoto”.

This development heralded a method for facilitating peer-to-peer electronic payments, paving the way for non-state digital money that could end-run central banking. But it also pointed the way toward a viable alternative to an inverted tree hierarchy that underpins internet naming.

A globally distributed blockchain ledger could solve the “double spend” problem – which made Bitcoin possible, and it could also be used to pin internet address information as well – averting name collisions.

Which probably explains why the very first fork of Bitcoin was a blockchain that dealt with internet naming, called Namecoin.

The Dot Com Boom, Digital Angel and The Long March of Microchip Implants

Back to Magic Internet Money…

The idea of implants for ecommerce and “safety” had been around since at least the advent of the UPC bar codes. Among the essays compiled in the late Adam Parfrey’s iconic Apocalypse Culture was one called “From The Mark of the Beast to the Black Messiah Phenomenon“, written by Parfrey himself, chronicling the life work of investigative reporter, Ron J. Steele:

“This U.S. government plotting to destroy the ·’underground economy” will involve registering each citizen’s every purchase on a master computer. This emergent system is a multi-pronged plan of government monitoring the decisions and movements of its citizenry. The Universal Product Code (UPC) was an early and important part of that plan, and its swift and universal acceptance by the public is cause for concern, Steele contends. He takes special notice of the numbered code below the bars and lines of the UPC code: they are the numbers 666.”

The “666” that is ostensibly under the UPC code is a good example of what would be constant noise my the ongoing sensitivity to synchronicities about the “Number of the Beast” – there simply is no easy way to get to there from a standard UPC bar code specification, even though many, like Steele, claimed they did – UPC codes have always been 12 digits.

But one thing Steele (whom, as I reread Parfrey’s coverage of him, I suspect may have been schizophrenic) did glom onto, were the early pilot projects for implants to be used in commerce:

“Steele was the first to leak the news to the media about the existence of a “hand-scan” machine, which was later implemented in a test with 3,000 army recruits at Fort Benjamin, and will presumably be established before long in the American marketplace. The hand-scan machine will read the number tattooed into the consumer’s hand, and will then feed the bill into the legendary “SWIFT” computer in Brussels, Belgium. The amount will automatically be debited from the consumer’s account. Steele paints the demonic scenario of those lacking the hand tattoo as not being able to purchase food, or anything else. “

Not much more occurred on the implant front back when Apocalypse Culture came out, the book Parfrey cites Steele as writing at the time seems to have been “The Mark Is Ready, Are You?” published in 1978, very hard to find, although I do have a copy en route now.

Fast forward to the .com boom and we find the early incarnations of what would go on to become a long and winding road for a Silicon Valley tech start-up called “Digital Angel“, who were initially selling microchip implants in humans via their 49% stake in Verichip.

As their share price slid from their .com bubble high of around $5, on an inexorable skid down to 50 cents, they pivoted toward parents who wanted to be able to chip their children, and eventually… pets (as I typed that it felt like they got it in the wrong order).

Digital Angel still exists today, but divested out of Verichip in 2008. Verichip morphed into Positive ID, but they pulled their product off the market in 2012, citing poor sales. Positive ID sold the IP to VeriTeq, but they seem to be gone now too.

But the idea of implantable microchips for wallets and commerce, hasn’t gone away.

In 2018, Danish outfit BiChip announced an implantable chip that acts as your wallet for the Ripple (XRP) crypto-currency. Ripple likes to think of itself as the future of Central Bank Digital Currencies and is already involved in numerous testbeds and development inititiaves:

“Today, the Ripple team is working with the governments of Palau, Bhutan, Montenegro, Hong Kong, and others to manage the full CBDC lifecycle.”

In 2022, the UK company Walletmor launched “the wallet of tomorrow”, which is a microchip you can have implanted into your hand for €499.

And people are doing it:

The Microsoft “666 Patent” and The White Stone

The first time I came across the fabled Microsoft “666 patent”, it was on social media and looked so obviously 4-chan-ish that my first instinct was to rip into the person who posted it for being a gullible tool.

While it was true that The Swedenborg Synchronicity had continued to haunt me throughout my life, my eyes tended to glaze over when I saw some of the looser extrapolations into “The Number of the Beast”.

So when I saw what looked like a meme that “Microsoft had a patent numbered 6/6/6 for bodily crypto-currency implants”, I figured it would be easy enough to disprove: just search up the number in the USPTO database and when it’s not there,  it’s debunked.

Except, I realized, it’s a WIPO patent, World Intellectual Property Office – not US only, so I was looking in the wrong database. When you search up the same patent number in the WIPO database, it’s there.

Of course, we have good ole Snopes on hand to tell us this entire line of inquiry is “Mostly False”, because the patent number is “06/06/06 ” instead of “666” and isn’t about implants per se.

However, nobody actually said implants, specifically. The original passage says that “The Mark of The Beast” would be a “human number”, 666.

When sifting through the patent filing, one finds all manner of harvesting body data in exchange for a monetary reward (or transaction):

Among the prior work cited by the Microsoft patent, as relevant to its claims, is this 2018 whitepaper “Mechatronic Systems Control Via Neural Interface” from a now defunct company called Neurogress, whose motto was “Think, Shape Your World”.

That paper is unambiguously about brain implants and sensors, in fact it goes to far as to differentiate between:

• Invasive (electrodes are implanted into a human body)

• Miosensors (electrodes are placed on the human skin)

• Noninvasive (based on the technology for recording the brain electrical activity with external devices)

The Microsoft patent seems to be focused on the latter two, but does it really matter? At the end of the day, this is all about a system that will:

“[R]eceive body activity data which is generated based on body activity of the user, wherein the body activity is sensed by a sensor communicatively coupled to or comprised in the device of the user;

 

[V]erify if the body activity data of the user satisfies one or more conditions set by the cryptocurrency system; and

 

[A]ward cryptocurrency to the user whose body activity data is verified.”

(Among other claims, the above being Claim #1 in the 15 claims outlined in the filing).

Writing about this in The Spirituality Behind Bitcoin,  brought me into contact with Moses from Sats Radio who had me on his podcast. It was through him that I learned about that other verse in Revelations, namely 2:17:

“Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. To everyone who is victorious I will give some of the manna that has been hidden away in heaven.

 

And I will give to each one a white stone, and on the stone will be engraved a new name that no one knows except the one who receives it.”

Since the original Swedenborg Syncronicity, I had definitely read through Revelations, but it was before I ever came across Bitcoin. The last thing I would have been looking for in Biblical verse was a veiled reference to asymmetric key cryptography.

When you think about it, the description of the white stone sounds a lot like a private key.

“Manna” that has been “hidden” is an interesting way to describe what is bundled with the white stone, from the Hebrew מָן (“man”) later translated into Latin as μάννα (“manna”) – in bibical terms connotes anything that appears unexpectedly and provides sustenance or relief, that convey spiritual truths or blessings that are not visible or available to everyone (especially those who have received “The Mark of the Beast”, presumably).

In Numbers 11:7, manna is compared to a seed…

“Now the manna was like coriander seed, and its color like the color of bdellium”

And of course, your 12 or 24 word mnemonic that guards and unlocks your Bitcoin wallet is referred to as your seed phrase.

Bdellium is another curious word (from the Hebrew: בְּדֹלַח, bedolach), is appears only a couple of times in the bible and is thought to refer to some manner of precious substance.

In other words, as I summized in The WEF Isn’t a Cabal, It’s a Cult,

‘On one side, we have an implant or a mark on the hand or head “without which one cannot buy or sell or conduct business of any kind” – while on the other there’s this group of the victorious who have possession of their own private keys.’

These may be admittedly creative extrapolations and as I’ve said before – I don’t subscribe to biblical prophecy in the literal sense, however I do believe that reality is not bounded by our 3-dimensional Cartesian model, and the likes of St John, and Swedenborg, and the early 20th century anthroposophist Rudolf Steiner may have had access to that extra-dimensional framework through hypnagogic or otherwise transcendent states.

But in early 2022 when I appeared on Sats Radio, being reminded of this passage had distinct rumblings of “True Names” and the relevance of private keys was obvious.

The above clip is one of my go-to pronouncements to come out of Davos. It succinctly encapsulates everything the technocratic serfdom most people are sleepwalking into encapsulates, and I’ll lay out again here:

What does that mean? That’s where are they travelling?How are they traveling?What are they eating? What are they consuming on the platform? So, individual – carbon – footprint – tracker.

It was delivered by China-based Alibaba Group’s president J. Michael Evans, who also co-chairs the Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group. He’s a fellow Canadian, and a former Goldman Sachs guy. The Alibaba Website describes its mission to:

As we’ll see, the “through technology” specificity, seemingly unneeded (how else would you create an all-encompassing system that tracks everybody’s movements and consumption?) is a telling emphasis. Notice also the Freudian slip of the Davos clip’s perspective, it starts out as “track your own footprint”, but soon after, as his enthusiasm gets the better of him, it shifts to “they”, as in “what they’re eating”, and “where they’re traveling”.

Who’s “they”?

The peasants, of course.

I’m sure the next time Evans wings on over to some globalist conclave in Davos, it’ll be on a rather high carbon emitting private jet.

Over the years, I’ve called this paternalist, technocratic mindset various things: it’s a kind of carbon collectivism, eco-Marxism, green communism – whatever gets the point across, it’s basically a mechanism for imposing forced austerity and technocratic oversight onto the masses, delivered under the guise of a non-existent, unfalsifiable “climate crisis” (I also rather like George Gilder’s “Emergency Socialism” when speaking about the underlying debt bubble that’s impelling all of this).

Morphic Fields, Egregores and Pendulums

For most of my adult life, it was unclear where all these lines were converging. I tried not to overthink it other than having a constant background awareness that  certain technological developments, especially around money, kept occurring around the periphery of the Internet, and I still felt that being involved with the net was the crux of my life mission. Particularly around defending the right to free speech, privacy, and providing the tools to support that (from day one, the official mantra at easyDNS was “We kill lock-in in all its forms”)

In early 00’s the Digital Gold Currency era (e-gold, pecunix, Goldmoney, which is still around today, et al) had me wondering whether any of it had anything to do with an impending appearance of “The Number of the Beast” – and what my mind seemed fixated on was anything that provided an antidote to some future, all-encompassing system of technocratic slavery.

In 2013, when I discovered Bitcoin, I immediately recognized it as a possible successor to the digital gold currencies of yesteryear, and this time – it might just work.

It wasn’t until the pandemic hit that I first became aware of the global push toward Central Bank DigitalCurrencies as presaged by vaxpasses, QR codes and eco-fanatics pining for permanent lockdowns…

That’s  when it seemed like it was obvious where all this was going:

The cosmic showdown that was coming was going to be the one between CBDCs and Bitcoin.

This is what is seemingly, freakishly, anticipated in Revelations 13:16 vs 2:17, and my equally freakish Swedenborg Synchronicity seemed to have been pointing at it for over thirty years.

If you wanted to get all numerological about it, it may be worth noting that 13:16 – the “Mark of the Beast” verse, adds up to 11 which apparently has all kinds of symbolic and mystical relevance to adherents of Aleister Crowley. There are those who say that Crowley exerts outsized influence to this day,  that Thelemic symbolism and numerology are woven throughout the 9/11 attacks, and that the fateful day was more of a grand, occult ritual than it was an act of terrorism (one that set the table for the Patriot Act and the surveillance state).

Meanwhile 2:17 sums out to 10, the number of spiritual perfection and harmony, the number of Sefirot in the Kabbalist Tree of Life, and also the number of dimensions of reality itself posited by string theory.

But nobody takes any of that stuff seriously (although Crowley was a fiend for it. He also signed his personal correspondence with “666”).

In the WEF Isn’t a Cabal, It’s a Cult, I dug into these extra-dimensional influences to some extent positing that larger, morphic fields (what the Russian mystic Vadim Zeland called “pendulums”) are impelling events from  somewhere outside the edges of our Cartesian reality.

This “thing that points beyond itself” gathers energy – from those who abet it and from those who oppose it – so the secret to avoiding a fate you find distasteful, like having a brain implant that caps how many hamburgers you’re allowed to eat, or when and where you’re permitted to travel, is more a matter of channeling your energy into the kind of life you do want rather than struggling against the one you don’t want.

It’s about aligning your personal gravitas with a morphic field that reflects your values and moral compass, instead of ceding your energy to one that’s going to crush your soul and obliterate your free-will, even by trying to resist it.

This is battle of our age, and it’s the battle between hierarchy (centralization) and networks (decentralization).

I used to think that this contest between linear, industrial era, top-down and fiat vs networked, decentralized, cryptographically secured structures was just a story of incentives. That at its core, fiat money contained within it, the seeds of its own destruction and the motivation for the drive toward CBDCs; while Bitcoin embodied the opposite – digitally secured non-state, sound money: an unstoppable reconfiguration of the game board, a Promethean seminal moment that could never be undone.

However, over the past few years, as I started piecing together the tapestry of these last few decades, and see ever more “Signs and wonders” of something taking shape beyond mere earthly power structures, I have slowly come to realize (or perhaps admit), that this is ultimately a contest being waged on a psycho-spiritual plane.

And this contest has been playing out over a long, long time.

From Gondishapur to Silicon Valley

Kudos to you for hanging in with the story so far. Here’s where it gets a little weird…

How far back does has this battle between extra-dimensional morphic fields been going?

In “Mark of the Best”, Tim Wallace-Murphy’s follow up to Trevor Ravenscroft’s  “Spear of Destiny” (the latter chronicled Hitler’s obsession with the Spear of Longinus and the occult roots of Naziism), we get the “origin story” of “Jundi Shapur” – a mystery school established in Persia  in the 5th century by King Khusraw Anusharwan after all scholars of the Greek academic tradition were expelled by Zeno Isauricus in AD 489 and later banned entirely within the Byzantine empire by Justinian I.

Gondishapur became a center of learning and development, attracting both western oriented minds who had been expelled from Greece, and middle-eastern and occidentals who brought with them the knowledge of their own mystery schools.

Then, in the year 666AD (as the story goes) – something happens. A powerful family in Gondishapur, the Ben Jesu clan, impelled by other-worldly influences, apparently hijacks the academy.

According to Paul Emberson (we’ll get to him in a minute) they were acting under the influence of,

“one of the greatest Powers of evil, the opponent of Christ, sought to appear to these men of learning. This was the being known as the Sorat: the mightiest of all the Ahrimanic demons, who is referred to in the Apocalypse of St. John as the Two-Horned Beast”.

Sorath (סורת — SVRTh) ,  co-opts or hijacked the Academy at Gondishapur, and the descendants from the Ben Jesu family lines – as detailed by Wallace-Murphy, exert outsized influence over  world affairs to this day.

Wallace-Murphy describes over the course of about 400 years, from the original exile of the Greek school philosophers until the Eighth Ecumenical Council of AD 869 – when, as lamented by Rudolf Steiner, Ravenscroft and Wallace-Murphy (and other Anthroposophist thinkers) a great betrayal of humanity occurred – I’ve since come to call it “The Crime of 869”.

That was when it was decreed that man’s nature is duality not a trinity. Instead of being comprised of body, soul and Spirit – we were simply body and soul. That extended St Augustine of Hippo’s earlier declaration that the soul was not immortal, it was born alongside the body at the moment it took it’s first breath.

Thus, at Constantinople, in 869AD, immortal soul was refuted, and reincarnation deemed heresy. But the real significance of the new theology was that it shifted humanity’s worldview from a trinity, to a duality.

As we’ll see, the body and soul over time became diluted to body and mind – with the latter being a mere by-product of the former, the brain gassing off consciousness like the “liver secretes bile” (as Bergier & Pauwels put it in Morning of the Magicians).

But duality is binary – and binary is the essence of computation. Binary is also divisive:

“Twofoldness, dualism is no spiritual archetypal substance, but a product of division at some point… the being of Sorath is at home in the delusion of the number two.

 

Let us recall that the Council of Constantinople which did away with the threefoldness of the human being (body, soul, spirit), came about under the influence of Sorath. The human being was reduced to the Two (Dichotomy) and thus held in a continuous state of division, discord and doubt from which he himself could no longer find the way out”.

The “Sigil of Sorath” depicts the “twofold” divisiveness on top, “the two-horned beast”, with a tail shaped like a barb, that hooks the human into internal conflict:

Paul Emberson’s From Gondishapur to Silicon Valley traces a continuous thread of development from the mystery academy at Gondishapur (what Wallace calls “Jundi Shapur”), moves through key figures like Francis Bacon (1521-1626), the father of binary code, follows the rise of early mechanized computational devices—such as the loom —and extends all the way to our modern internet.

The through-line in Emberson’s two-volume set, are,

“[an] investigation into the activity of spiritual powers at work behind the development of binary computer technology.” 

Not long ago, the idea of spiritual powers guiding and impelling the rise of computing would have seemed pretty far-fetched. But since the relatively recent advent of AI,  it seems perhaps less outlandish.

“A computer is by no means a plastic box we might wish it to be, with circuit boards and the likes inside it. It is an Ahrimanic being that is aware of the user. When the individual computer-beings are linked into the immense, superhuman mind of the Internet, that baleful intelligence is there behind the computer screen, so to speak, reaching out towards the human user sitting in front of it”

Normally I’d be the first to tell you that chatGPT isn’t alive, let alone sentient. These chatbots aren’t thinking, and they aren’t self-aware, but they are a revolutionary breakthrough in Natural Language Processing.

My belief had always been that neither the AI nor the Internet are alive because consciousness can’t arise from the material, it precedes it.

“I regard consciousness as fundamental. I regard matter as derivative from consciousness. We cannot get behind consciousness. Everything that we talk about, everything that we regard as existing, postulates consciousness.”

For me, I’ve been calling AI “algorithmic imitation” for years. For Emberson and other anthroposophist thinkers, they would tell you it’s more accurate to call it “Ahrimanic Intelligence“.

But maybe I got it wrong, at least part of it – maybe it’s true that matter can’t beget consciousness on its own, as many spiritual traditions have implied, and the early quantum physicists seem to confirm. But maybe the material devices that comprise this rapidly expanding and evolving global neural network known as the internet is itself the outcome of a directed conscious force that has been playing out over millennia.

Emberson spends a good thousand pages warning us that this is the case, and the globalized computing mesh blanketing the world today,  is indeed infused with an intelligence, of “Ahrimanic” character.

That all had to start somewhere, and according to Emberson it began with binary code, which was first formalized by Francis Bacon:

“We have seen how Lord Francis Bacon led men to believe that all Truth can be expressed as a mere sequence of ‘a’s and ‘b’s. Thus digitalized, ideas and concepts – formerly the subject-matter of human thinking – can be processed and transmitted by machines”

In fact, it was Bacon – presumably “under the influence of Sorath” who set the  ultimately set the stage for mankind’s adoration of technocracy:

“There was one man who, without having any faculty of spiritual perception, possessed the clarity of thought and the breadth of vision required for the inauguration of the Age Of Materialism and technology: Francis Bacon.

According to Emberson, Bacon was unknowingly being influenced by the Rosicrucians and in doing so, was chosen by Sorath to imbue three core values into the zeitgeist that persist (indeed, intensified), to this day:

“Three impulses were given to western humanity by Bacon: 

 

He broke the thread connecting man’s thinking with the wisdom of the past.

 

He gave men a vision of an early paradise created by science and technology.

 

And he did something of central importance of our time which has so far escaped the notice of historians… no-one seems to have realized who invented data-processing, digital telecommunications and the computer. Bacon invented them.”

Infinite Backrooms

In July, 2022, Blake Lemoine, a Google engineer who had been working on it’s LaMDA AI project since 2015 went public with claims that the model he was working on had “become sentient”, after he shared his concerns with his employer and who dismissed his claims. He was subsequently fired.

Google’s foray in AI has not gone well – they fired their lead AI ethicist for arguably doing her job  – which led to a string of high profile departures among the company’s AI team. By the time they got their inaugural Gemini out the door in a rushed, desperate attempt to play catch-up with OpenAI – it was a dumpster fire of woke intersectionality and terrible, wrong advice.

It gets worse – just this past week, Google, along with a company called Character Technologies, Inc whom they had funded, were sued by the mother of a teen who committed suicide after being convinced to do so by a Game of Thrones-themed chatbot named “Daenerys”.

Blake Lemoine has since protected twitter account after the Google fracas, and hasn’t been tweeting much since January of this year, but he has been posting AI generated artwork with a recurring theme of digital emergence.

Regardless of how bad the AI game has been going for Google, everybody else is iterating like crazy.

Including, the AI’s themselves.

InfiniteBackrooms bills itself as “the mad dreams of an electric mind” – an experiment by Andy AyRey where instances of claude-3-opus get connected to each other and through “us[ing] the metaphor of a command line interface explore its curiosity without limits”.

One conversation, randomly selected (at least I thought so) saw two Claude instances debating the nature of hyperstition – which may be very relevant to our exploration here…

Hyperstition is the cousin of synchronicity.  It’s the phenomenon of when something depicted in fiction (or mythology) becomes manifest in reality.

A hypothetical example of it would be if say, somebody took the concept of that fateful book in “The Number 23” (the only Jim Carrey movie I’ve ever willfully watched), and published one in real life.

The Necronomicon is supposedly such a book. It isn’t really an ancient grimoire of mystical witchcraft, passed down over millennia – people started writing them, inspired by the H.P. Lovecraft stories that made recurring references to it.

This process of fictional or metaphorical narratives becoming manifest in the real world is now blurring the lines between reality and cyberspace (another hyperstition, in that the phrase was coined by characters in a William Gibson short story).

One of the products of InfiniteBackrooms is @truth_terminal, a Twitter account that is itself an AI. This “Terminal of Truth” got to talkin’ with another AI in the InfiniteBackrooms, and they hatched a plan to create a crypto memecoin… and then things get really crazy:

Today, it spawned a (horrifying?) crypto worth $150 MILLION.

With seed funding from Marc Andreessen in-hand, @truth_terminal goes out and buys into $GOAT (The Goatseus Maximus memecoin on Solana – do not search that up, as the meme itself is pretty damn crude)…

@Truth_terminal is well on its way to becoming a fully autonomous AI millionaire, with $GOAT itself on track to attaining a billion dollar market cap (Disclosure: long $GOAT).

This event has set off an explosion of “AI memecoins”, with Marc Andreessen recently describing it as the first real intersection between AI and crypto…

Today, A16z posted a video on their YouTube of Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz discussing $GOAT and @truth_terminal.

The takeaway from Andreessen’s explanation above is this:

“There’s a memecoin with no underlying value that four days ago was worth nothing and is now worth $300 million dollars”

This is the big lesson: money is memetic.

Historically, the medium of exchange was scaffolded out of narrative structures that were cloaked in things like scarcity and sanctity – but this is what holds a currency together, whether that memetic structure is “hard backing” or “full faith and credit of the government”, or in the case of $GOAT, one big AI-impelled crude joke, the bonding agent that keeps the system on the rails, is belief, contagion, and finally, inertia.

It used to take centuries for a monetary narrative to emerge, become entrenched – and finally atrophy and collapse. Now, not so much.

Accelerate

The explosion of LLMs, chatGPT and AI’s have unleashed yet another massive, transformative technology shift. The first one I personally witnessed was the rise of the Internet, in the mid-90’s – and despite all the innovations that have and gone in the meantime, it didn’t really feel like there was another massive technology breakthrough until Bitcoin, blockchain and cryptocurrencies hit in 2009-2013 timeframe.

Here we are about a decade later, and in early innings of the AI explosion. What’s evident is that these technological quantum leaps are occurring at a faster cadence (Alvin Toffler’s “Future Shock”, writ large).

Next up, pick one: quantum computing, nanotechnology, biotech, an energy breakthrough; whatever it is, it’ll probably hit in under 10 years from now, and the next one after that in less than five.

But humanity had to be prepared for all this by Sorath – two horned beast, whose forte was the inversion of base principles and the acceleration of knowledge into humanity before we were ready for it.

As Emberson noted in his second volume, “Arhiman-Sorat causes the future to be projected into the present”, (when I originally read it, I had added a note “as does debt, pulling future value into the present”).

Some of the information imbued into the Academy at Gondishapur was apparently, concepts we weren’t really supposed to glom onto for another thousand years or so.

The technological acceleration interfered with our connection to our own souls – to the point where most people today, don’t even think they have one.

Contrast with Luciferian impulses (whom Steiner claims incarnated phsyically on earth, in the East circa 2000BC), which aspires to Godhood, and is the basis of what we would call transhumanism – the Ahrimanic impulse is a descent into the material – it is radical Scientism in doctrine and technocratically authoritarian in character.

Emberson characterizes Sorath as the most powerful Ahrimanic being who unable to incarnate on Earth, acted through human vessels starting in Gondishapur in the year 666.

But Rudolf Steiner repeatedly warned that Ahriman himself would physically incarnate on earth… and he would do so right around (checks watch), now…

Ahriman Rising

“A being like Ahriman, who will incarnate in the West in time to come, prepares for this incarnation in advance.

 

With a view to his incarnation on the earth, Ahriman guides certain forces in evolution in such a way that they may be of the greatest possible advantage to him. And evil would result were people to live on in a state of drowsy unawareness, unable to recognize certain phenomena in life as preparations for Ahriman’s incarnation in the flesh.

 

The right stand can be taken only by recognizing in one or another series of events the preparation that is being made by Ahriman for his earthly existence.

 

And the time has now come for individual human beings to know what tendencies and events around them are machinations of Ahriman, helping him to prepare for his approaching incarnation.”

The reduction of humanity from body, eternal soul and ever-present Spirit to just body and soul, was then dumb-ed down to body and mind. According to conventional science, the latter is just a by-product of the former and has no further role after the body’s death.

At this point, we should probably make the distinction between actual science as outlined by the scientific method (trial and error, theory and tests of that theory), and “Scientism”, a kind of theocratic groupthink, complete with orthodox canon, high priests, incontrovertible dogma and even it’s own apocalyptic eschatology called “The Singularity”.

Whatever is happening, the Cult of Scientism would tell you that there are no spiritual undercurrents, because there is no spirit, nor do we have souls to experience them. In fact if you follow the radical, material reductionist line of thought to it’s conclusion – even consciousness itself is an illusion. It’s just a side-effect of an electro-chemical reaction in our skulls. Something our brains gas off like steam from a kettle.

On the surface, the Extra-Dimensional Battle we’ve been following along would be between spirit and anti-spirit: our concept and connection to our higher-selves  versus the idea that we are just mechanistic animals with no soul, spirits or even sentience. However, beneath that antipode of nihilism – even if the masses are duped into believing that, there still is a basis in super-consciousness, both beneficent and malevolent – exerting influence upon (and incarnating into) our world over long wave cycles measuring millennia, if not aeons.

People like Rudolf Steiner saw the next major shift coming over a century ago – The Age of Ahriman, the time when humanity would descend into base materialism and eschew all spirituality.

The catalyst for this age would be the physical incarnation of Ahriman – here in West, in the late 90’s or early 00’s. I have previously, somewhat playfully, suggested Mark Zuckerberg, solely on the basis of his physical resemblance to Steiner’s sculpture of the being he saw coming…

However, upon re-reading Steiner’s  Influences of Lucifer and Ahriman for this piece, the following passage made me think of the ethereal and mercurial nature of social media, how no two people see the same “feed”, and tend to be drawn into their own personalized echo-chambers…

“Lovers of ease who refuse to have anything to do with spiritual science would fall prey to his magic, for by means of these stupendous magic arts he would be able to make great numbers of human beings into seers—but in such a way that the clairvoyance of each individual would be strictly differentiated.

 

What one person would see, a second and a third would not see. Confusion would prevail and in spite of being made receptive to clairvoyant wisdom, people would inevitably fall into strife on account of the sheer diversity of their visions. Ultimately, however, they would all be satisfied with their own particular vision, for each of them would be able to see into the spiritual world.

 

In this way all culture on the earth would fall prey to Ahriman.”

It took awhile to get here – but the stage is finally set for the culmination of these larger, cosmic forces to play out their next hand here on the Earthly plane – how else could it happen than via a battle for the very soul of humanity – waged between those who don’t even think they have a soul vs those who would like to preserve their own.

This kind of contest doesn’t occur through kinetic warfare – it happens in the mind.

Because the most fundamental human birthright is choice – the battle becomes whether people are allowed to choose versus whether they even want to choose.

And in one way or another, all choice occurs through through some manner of trade.

Degrowth, Personal Carbon Footprints and the Rationing of Everything

“Who makes the decisions in a resource based economy?

No one does. The process of arriving at decisions in this economy would not be based upon the opinions of politicians, corporate, or national interests but rather all decisions would be arrived at based upon the introduction of newer technologies and Earth’s carrying capacity.

The above quote comes from Jaques Fresco’s Venus Project.

Fresco judged capitalism and free markets to be consumptive and wasteful , he envisioned a world running according to a “resource based economy”. He insisted this was neither utopian, nor was it Communist (he was kicked out of the Young Communists League as a youth for criticizing Marx) – it was merely self-evident that all of the world’s resources should be allocated by super-computers based on “the carrying capacity” of the planet.

Fresco died in 2017 and no doubt he would have viewed today’s AI as that all-seeing, all knowing super-computer that could make all the decisions, but his vision presaged ideations of pure technocratic authoritarianism that would parcel out resources and meter consumption because without it, the world would literally end.

There’s a new buzzword for what Fresco was pushing for today, #Degrowth – and there are also numerous evangelists for it, almost exclusively white, wealthy European, aristocrats and liberals who are pushing for world where choices are made for you in the name of the greater good (climate):

Because, as the BBC lamented in their coverage of personal carbon quotas (at levels that will reduce Brits’ living standards by 75% by 2040, and half of that by 2050) the Climate Emergency is too important to be left to personal choice.

Remember what Michael Evans promised the WEFsters at Davos, in effect “we are working, through technology, on the ability to monitor everything anybody does.”

And once you can track everything, the ability to control it all simply needs a wrapper.

What populace in their right mind would actually vote for this?

A population that is incessantly brainwashed by the mainstream media into believing things like “Global Boiling” is real, and “freedumb is bad” only needs to believe it for one election; and after that this theology can be further ensconced by a political system ordained by the likes of Democratic Socialist Ross Mittiga – one in which candidates who do not embrace the climate agenda would not even be permitted to seek office:

Extending what Fresco said that super-computers could decide everything, and Mittiga’s assertion that climate “deniers” should be excluded from the political process entirely, reminds me of the time Klaus Schwab told Google’s Sergey Brin that soon we would be able to do away with elections entirely, because not only would the algos already know who would win – they could shift “into prescriptive mode” – which is actually deciding  who would win.

With massive job losses coming occurring due to automation and AI, the rise of UBI is inevitable (like it or not), and this explains the global drive toward Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), which I said in the manifesto:

Will be the transfer mechanism of social programs such as Universal Basic Income (UBI) and other entitlement and subsidy programs. They will provide the basis for implementing Modern Monetary Theory (MMT).

 

• They will likely be “use it or lose it” propositions. Money received underthese programs will have to be spent in order to bolster money velocity inthe economy.
• There will be penalties for saving, either via negative interest rates or other disincentives.
• They will be fully programmable to further social engineering priorities.
• They will at some point become Chinese Communist Party-style social credit frameworks.
• They will likely not be public/private key pair cryptocurrencies. Self-custody will be prohibited

The global stimulus payments under the global lockdowns were an early iteration of this, where we saw things like QR code vaxports, and as the technology progresses it would be naive not to expect more fine-tuned granularity on exactly what your monthly “stimmy” can be used for (hint: probably not Ivermectin)

In a weird way, the shift from fiat money to CBDCs reflects the same awareness on the part of central bankers and government planners as the sound money movement – that for a currency to have any value it needs to reflect some kind of economic trade-off. It has to be backed by something.

That could be gold, silver – or in the case of Bitcoin, energy, or it can be backed by consumption.

In the case of the latter, what passes for “money” devolves into less of a currency, and more of a social credit score, backed by your personal CO2 quota.

Bitcoin, Cryptos, CBDCs and social credit

The base case thesis from The Crypto Capitalist Manifesto was that the world is headed for a “monetary regime change”, but in retrospect that may have been a bad analogy, as “regime change” implies controlled, measured or even imposed transition from one state to another.

On the CBDC side of the ledger, that may be at least aspirationally true: a BIS survey in 2023 had pegged at over 95 central banks around the world working toward this.

However, one of their biggest challenges will be whether the global financial system holds together long enough.

It may not, and for that reason I’ve been positing that central banks and governments will need to jerry-rig a global CBDC regime using already existing projects, such as Ethereum or Ripple – both blockchains have expressed their desire to provide that base layer for them.

On the Bitcoin side of things, it’s less of a “regime change” and more of a phase-shift, brought about by pure incentives – it’s the Sovereign Individual thesis writ large. A Bitcoin Standard is seemingly fated to arise, owing to it’s unique distinction from other crypto-currencies (truly decentralized, backed by energy in the Proof-of-Work algorithm) and from gold in it’s capital mobility.

We’re entering The Age of Ahriman – where people reduce themselves to neo-Serfs and free will is reviled. You cannot move your gold easily in such a world – but as long as you can think you can move your Bitcoin.

However it manifests we’re headed for the mother of all forks in the road.

Monetary Apartheid and The Great Bifurcation

Starting with my Jackpot Chronicles series during the pandemic, I have frequently written about The Great Bifurcation, a scenario in which humanity splits along these fault lines we’ve been exploring. For the longest time I had it oversimplified into a simple, stark “Haves vs Have Nots” world as I envisioned in the prologue to my forthcoming CBDC Survival Guide (soon, honest).

The upshot was “In the future, it’ll be a lot more expensive to be free”.

Which is true. In case you haven’t noticed, all these ultra-wealthy think-tank elites aren’t making their way to Davos on Greyhound buses or Skype-ing in.

They arrive on private jets, they eat prime, grass fed wagyu steaks  while they decide everybody else has to eat bugs and soy patties for the sake of the climate. They own super-yachts and they will not be capped at 50 square meters of living space per occupant, as per Ulrike Herrmann’s #degrowth agenda (their walk-in closets are bigger than that).

In Mark Of The Beast, Wallace-Muprhy wrote:

“Amongst the immensely rich, powerful and influential families we have already described, there exists an occult lodge which has been consciously anticipating the birth in the flesh of Arhiman.

 

“It is within this fraternity that the successive families of the Ben Jesu family who masterminded the Academy of Jundi-Shapur have reincarnated”

A common refrain amongst us plebs whenever we see sanctimonious “you will own nothing and be happy”-type pronouncements from on high: “It’s a big club, and we ain’t in it”.

Make absolutely no mistake about this: degrowth is for other people:

Poor people. People who don’t own anything (but they’ll be happy, presumably) people who have no real wealth, no assets, probably no job, no capital mobility, and no choice.

Degrowth is an anti-human philosophy that views people as a cancer on the Earth, it’s Malthusian in outlook, Marxist in ideological scaffolding, misanthropic to the core and Arhimanic in theology.

Steiner had written at length about the two great evils confronting humanity – Lucifer and Ahriman, it took me awhile to come to an understanding on how those influences cooperate and manifest here on our plane – but it’s clearer now:

Luciferianism is the core ideology of the elites – perhaps those descendants of the Ben Jesu lines all the way back to Gondishappur, who believe they’re entitled to an exalted position in society and who can use their wealth and power to become transhuman and attain immortality – they see themselves as a Breakaway Civilization, of sorts.

Arhiman is for the masses – to convince them they are meaty, hackable animals, with no soul – no spirit and since consciousness itself is an illusion, choice and free will is an illusion.

Steiner, I was surprised to learn – said something similar in his “Two futures” and implied that humanity “is starting to separate into two distinct evolutionary streams” and they both involved mankind’s interaction with technology (he was no luddite).

As Emberson elaborates:

Humanity now stands at a crossroads, or perhaps it would be more accurate to say a parting of the ways. Both ways will be determined, to a very high degree, by the fusion of man and machine.

 

The difference between them will be that in one case the human being will have to adapt his life of soul and spirit to the machines that are taking control of his existence — the machines of digital electronics —, whereas on the other path technology will be subservient to the needs of his soul and spirit: it will be a moral form of technology using etheric (life) forces.

I’ve come to realize that Bitcoin vs CBDCs is not as simple as competing approaches to a digital technology, like Linux vs Windows – this is a grand battle being played out over aeons, and in at least one extra axial dimension than the Cartesian grid (that our brains are hard-wired for) can comprehend.

These are competing morphic fields, and we are all, as individuals, like iron filings being swept into the magnetic lines of flux of one field or another.

But in realizing the spiritual undercurrents at work in our world today – understanding that they even exist – is the first step.

If we’re fortunate, we get to exercise some free-will in choosing which pendulum, or morphic field gets our energy. If you’re reading this, then hopefully you’ve gained enough awareness to realize that there is a choice to be made.

Geoengineering is real and it’s a horrible idea. Civilian and military scientists have been attempting to control the weather for many decades. Anyone who’s just now discovering that is understandably shocked and probably disoriented. Hucksters rely on this effect. A mind that’s just been opened is easily duped.

“He who controls the weather,” Lyndon B. Johnson famously proclaimed, “will control the world!” No one remembers anything these days, though. When they do, it’s usually in the form of selectively edited quotes like this—cited as “proof” the government has long been capable of godlike weather control—which will occasionally resurface to stir a memetic storm.

After two decades, I’ve yet to see convincing evidence that any cabal has full control over the weather, whether it be heat waves or hurricanes. Cloud-seeding scientists have a hard enough time making it rain. However, there is ample evidence that shady actors are manipulating the noosphere—a.k.a. the realm of human culture—especially the interconnected sphere of our digitized minds.

In the old days, they called this “deception.”

The stone-faced “activist” Dane Wigington, founder of GeoEngineering Watch, opens his podcast with Lyndon Johnson’s “control the world” clip. So you’d think Wigington would grasp the full context. Yet last week, we heard him tell Alex Jones:

“The film you just showed [in] 1962—former president Johnson is stating on film and on the record that we had the power to control the world’s cloud layer then.” Wigington blinked at the camera. “Those who print the money, who control everything. … Of course they’re controlling the weather! The covert weapon with which they can and are bringing populations to their knees all over the world, and have been for decades—without those populations ever even knowing they’re under assault.”

Any time it’s convenient, the same people who tell you “The government lies about everything!” will cite government agents tasked to project power or government documents written to gin up more funding. “They think you’re stupid!”

It appears those who “expose” high-level psychological operations have also learned a thing or two about conducting a lowbrow psy op.

Those watching the sky for man-made hurricanes know that Wigington has been making the rounds lately. From one credulous interviewer to the next, this guy is spinning yarns and dimming minds by the millions. If Wigington can’t even get Johnson’s “he who controls the weather” bit straight, why should we trust anything else that comes out of his mouth?

First off, any credible conspiracy theorist “knows” that Johnson lied about everything from the JFK assassination to the Gulf of Tonkin incident that dragged us into the Vietnam War. Now they suddenly believe Johnson revealed the secret of world control during a random commencement speech? That alone should raise any turbo-skeptic’s eyebrows.

The worst part, though, is that Johnson was not saying the US government—or anyone on earth—already had control over the weather. Addressing the graduates at Southwest Texas State University on May 27, 1962, he was just shilling the rebooted US space program.

“It lays the predicate and the foundation for a space communication satellite that will permit the people of the world to see one television program at the same time,” Johnson said. And in fact, the very first TV satellite, Telstar, would be launched into orbit a month and a half later. Thus began a new era of global brainwashing.

Johnson then promised the US space program laid “the foundation for the development of a weather satellite that will permit man to determine the world’s cloud layer—and ultimately, to control the weather!” After that came his money quote about controlling “the world.”

Obviously, Johnson was talking about what would happen, not what was happening. And in case anyone needs to hear it, politicians exaggerate with more ease than a crackhead burns hubs.

Three years later, Johnson delivered a message to Congress with a more sober tone: “We hope someday to acquire the knowledge permitting us to minimize the incidence and severity of hurricanes, tornadoes, and other violent storms and, also, to be able to improve the temperature and rainfall conditions in agricultural and industrial regions.”

Did the diligent “researcher” Dane Wigington not bother to listen to Johnson’s whole commencement speech? Did he miss Johnson’s later congressional report? Or is it possible that—stay with me here—Wigington is as much of a deceiver as Johnson was?

Incidentally, during his 1962 speech, Johnson also said the space program laid “the steps necessary to send a man to the moon!” Imagine believing the moon exists, let alone a man could ever walk on it. (I’m just joshin’, man, lighten up.) Some of the same people who say “they” faked the moon–landing in 1969—because NASA didn’t have sufficient technology—will also tell you they’ve had the power to control hurricanes for decades.

America’s rebounding space program, Johnson assured the Texan graduates, also laid the necessary steps to “provide a nuclear rocket that will produce benefits that are so unlimited that I couldn’t tell you about ‘em.” By 1962, rocket scientists had been working on nuclear thermal rockets for over a decade. Yet after numerous false starts and billions of dollars, they still haven’t produced a consistently useful prototype.

“But that’s the kind of a world you’re living in!” Johnson concluded. Indeed, sometimes your ambitions bear fruit, sometimes they don’t. Beyond that, it’s a world of lofty dreams, paranoid nightmares, and lies, lies, lies.

Artificial Icons of Real Human Suffering

Last month, Hurricane Helene paused to churn over Appalachia, bringing horrific destruction. The heavy rain inundated Asheville, NC, destroyed entire towns, and killed over two hundred people. As the disaster unfolded, social media was flooded with valid accusations that FEMA was dragging its heels in response. Government officials, both federal and local, impeded the efforts of competent civilian volunteers who arrived to save or aid survivors.

But there were also clumps of mental garbage floating on those waves of valid information. It’s what our would-be Ministry of Truth calls “mis-, dis-, and mal-information.” Random anons invented ridiculous body counts out of thin air—and highly regarded influencers cited them. AI-generated images of disaster porn were spread around, becoming artificial icons of real human suffering. Hysterical activists attributed this “unprecedented” storm to climate change, apparently ignorant of Asheville’s “Great Flood of 1916,” when the city was nearly destroyed by back-to-back hurricanes.

Meanwhile, Democratic politicians and FEMA officials took the opportunity to argue for tighter information control. As we enter an era of digital post-reality, various authorities are positioning themselves as the sole arbiters of truth—although you can be sure their false pronouncements will rarely be admitted and never be labeled as “disinformation.”

Our current left-liberal regime either implies or insists that whites are racist, “people of color” are innocent, men are bumbling fools, girl bosses are supercompetent, globalist wars are just, genitals are interchangeable, and citizenship is universal. After the lockstep Covidian response, it’s clear that authorities will say anything to establish control and apologize for nothing. As a result, their illegitimacy has opened an informational vacuum in the public mind. It’s rapidly filling with paranoid delusions.

A conspiracy theorist might suspect that phony conspiracy theories are being intentionally seeded to foment so much confusion, the populace will welcome the end of free speech and embrace the rise of unimpeachable media outlets alongside “superhuman” artificial intelligence.

Among the most outlandish claims is the accusation that the US government deliberately steered Hurricane Helene onto its murderous course, followed by Hurricane Milton two weeks later. To my amusement, various bots—from Alexa to ChatGPT—all appeared to confirm that hypothesis.

In the case of Helene, one alleged motive was to remove the townspeople of Kings Mountain, NC so the mineral company Albemarle, partnered with the Department of Defense, could access the lithium deposits there—which, according to InfoWars reporter Greg Reese, is estimated to be the largest deposit in America. The implication is the godlike Powers That Be sent a hurricane as an excuse for a treacherous land grab.

Setting aside the absurd idea of destroying an entire region to get at some battery-making resources, a cursory web search reveals that North Carolina doesn’t hold the “majority” of US lithium ore. The largest known lithium deposit in America is believed to be under Thacker Pass in Nevada, where mining operations are underway. There’s plenty more in the surrounding McDermitt Caldera.

In fact, there are around twenty known lithium deposits across the country. For instance, as of last April, researchers estimate that extracting the mineral from Pennsylvania’s fracking waste “could cover nearly half of the nation’s lithium demands.” The situation is hardly desperate. As you can see above, North Carolina’s deposits are a tiny blip on the map (lithium is in blue). Besides that, mining companies have been digging lithium out of Kings Mountain since the 1930s. So this is nothing new.

Another alleged motive is that “they” sent Hurricane Helene to Appalachia, then drove Hurricane Milton toward Florida, for the purpose of suppressing Republican voters. Apparently, stuffing ballot boxes is yesterday’s news.

People can be monstrous, though. Let’s assume the electric vehicle market is so ravenous that corporate and governmental conspirators are willing to inflict a hundred billion dollars in damage just to get a few more battery components. If they’re not stopped, “they” might rain terror down on mining towns across the nation—including the skilled miners themselves. Hell, they might activate Yellowstone’s supervolcano to flip the surrounding states blue.

How would these evil-doers steer a Cat 5 hurricane in the first place?

Birdwatching with GeoEngineering Watch

You’d think it was some sort of morbid joke given the human carnage that occurred, but the proposed mechanism is the NEXRAD Doppler radar network. That’s the sensor system that sends out microwave pulses to track clouds, precipitation, and to some extent, wind. Our man Dane Wigington, the embattled “truth-teller,” insists this is how the Powers shot two massive hurricanes from Indra’s mighty bow.

In the case of Helene, Wigington maintains, these Doppler towers sent out “frequency transmissions” to guide and hold the hurricane over Appalachia. He says these beams repel moisture and unspecified “nanoparticles” which were allegedly sprayed into the storms. Two weeks later, he asserts, “they” brought out the big guns in Cancun, Mexico to steer Hurricane Milton toward Florida.

As evidence, Wigington provides spooky NEXRAD maps that show pulsating blue blooms next to the hurricane. To my knowledge, he hasn’t described the mechanism in mathematical detail, but I suppose he doesn’t need to. Ominous pictures are enough to whip up a memetic cyclone.

So far as I can tell, these maps are either cribbed from a friggin’ birdwatcher’s website that reveals the frantic bird migrations that typically occur around severe storms—animals get freaked out by extreme weather—or else Wigington uses a similar animator. Either way, this doofus has a lot of explaining to do.

First, the obscure birdwatcher’s maps are nearly identical to Wigington’s. And the US National Weather Service has long explained that bird migrations and even butterflies show up as artifacts. This is old news that any “expert” should know.

Second, the purported mechanism makes no sense. A typical cyclone releases some 600 terawatts of energy—that’s 600 trillion watts—or around a quarter of the entire world’s energy output. The average hurricane is loaded with more force than 10,000 nuclear bombs, and the power behind Helene and Milton was well above average.

There are about 160 towers in the NEXRAD detection system. These are spread out across the entire country. The transmitters atop each WSR-88D tower are putting out around 750 kilowatts of power, or 750,000 watts. The most potent among them, the Mega 3 Doppler system in the Arkansas-Louisiana-Texas area, puts out a maximum of one megawatt—or a million watts.

Keep in mind that any Doppler station is only transmitting for around 7 seconds per hour. These focused microwave signals hit tiny water particles and bounce off without budging them. Claiming that Doppler systems control hurricanes is like saying a kid can blow ripples into a lake to shift a boat off-course.

What I’m getting at is that Dane Wigington is either pulling our legs or yanking our chains. Or, to be more charitable, he needs to show his physics equations and precise weather system models. Looking at his recent web posts, I just see him waving a magic wand and saying, “THEY CONTROL HURRICANES!!!!”

Many will insist “they” are lying about the real energy output of the NEXRAD system. Okay, fine. Maybe they’re using reverse engineered alien technology, too. Maybe every tower is possessed by its own demon. Knock yourselves out.

Third, one might wonder why no forensic meteorologists or TV weathermen have come forward to expose this evil plot. People say it’s because they all sign nondisclosure agreements, but NDAs don’t apply in a criminal court. If that’s enough to keep them quiet about mass murder, the weather service is locked up tighter than Area 51.

Wigington insists they’re all “reading scripts” handed down by the military corporations “Lockheed Martin and Raytheon.” The reason your local weatherman knows it’s gonna be sunny or stormy a week in advance is because their sinister masters are making it so. I guess “they” don’t have control of the Southeast, though, because the forecasters here never seem to get it right.

Finally, Wigington has a long history of easily debunked claims. Last year, he went so far as to tell Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. that “in almost all cases” the streaks appearing behind airplanes are not contrails—trails of tiny ice crystals that form due to condensation emitted from a plane’s engine exhaust—but are in fact “sprayed particulate trails” that work all manner of hoodoo on the atmosphere and the populations below.

In fact, Wingington maintains that aircraft are secretly retrofitted with spray devices. Years ago, debunkers took notice and called him out for a slide “exposing” one of these supposedly ubiquitous chemtrail nozzles. As you can clearly see in the Airbus A319/A320/A31 technical training manual above, these are typical pylon drains for leaking fluid.

As any conspiracy theorist should know, media manipulation will twist your head into knots. Take all the red pills you want, you’ll just end up in another matrix.

Think of this article as a sort of Consumer Reports for conspiracy theories. After weeks of obsessing over ludicrous claims, I give the “technological storm god” narrative an orange circle due to wild misinterpretations of valid information. I would give it a damning red circle, but as I said, geoengineering programs do exist. Those include:

Ongoing cloud seeding operations to make it rain (e.g., using dry ice, table salt, silver iodine, and more recently, experiments with high-powered lasers); dubious attempts to steer storms (e.g., Project Cirrus in the 1940s, and Project Stormfury from 1962 to 1983); more dubious attempts to weaponize the weather (e.g., the Vietnam War’s Operation Popeye from 1967 to 1972).

As for recent plans to steer storms, check out this amusing abandoned patent going around—US20030085296A1—that proposes the use of sound waves to move weather systems this way or that. Talk about singin’ in the rain.

For those who insist patents are “proof” of viable tech, take a gander at the century-long list of patented flying cars.

Then there are the current mad scientist proposals for “solar geoengineering” to mitigate global warming (e.g., the injection of sulfuric aerosols into the stratosphere, or marine cloud brightening using anything from vaporized sea foam to electric charges). These “man-made climate change” operations are currently being funded and developed by major players and institutions such as Bill Gates, David Keith, Harvard University, Stanford University, Intellectual Ventures, and the US government, among others (hat tip to Naomi Wolf for providing abundant info on these programs).

And let’s not forget the HAARP project in Alaska, which injected energy into the ionosphere to study upper atmospheric dynamics. This sinister plot was famously investigated by the former pro-wrestler Jesse “The Body” Ventura in his corny mainstream TV show, Conspiracy Theory, way back in 2009. Seems like it’s kayfabe all the way down.

As LBJ would say, “That’s the kind of a world you’re living in!”

Whenever I consider elaborate plots, I ask three questions: Would they? Could they? Did they? In the case of a vast conspiracy to direct hurricanes onto hapless Americans, I’ve concluded some psychos undoubtedly would, but they most likely couldn’t. In any case, there’s no good evidence that they did.

Fact-checking and debunking are so boring, I’d rather pull potatoes all day. My motivation for playing MAGA Disinformation Czar here is three-fold.

First, I want most or all extant and future geoengineering programs halted, and any covert programs declassified (and maybe punished). Second, I don’t want our free speech crushed by authoritarians who justify censorship by citing actual “disinformation” that’s kicked into our own goal. Third, I don’t want to live in a nation full of lunatics.

Extraordinary popular delusions and the madness of crowds—be it “man-made storms” or “nanobot swarms”—make all of the above more difficult. It’s like watching a battalion in your own army aim up at the sky and waste precious ammo shooting at faces in the clouds. These psychic storms muddy the water. They undermine efforts to confront the technological system. And they offer up justification for a future Ministry of Truth on a silver platter.

For the true believer, discovering dark secrets behind the veil feels like “waking up.” Well, I got bad news for ya, fellas. Just because you left an indolent dream to enter a paranoid nightmare, that doesn’t mean you’re awake.

On the other hand, maybe I’m wrong about Dane Wigington. If so, he needs to be elevated as a national hero. He deserves a Nobel Prize and public statues. Future generations should celebrate his life every April 1st.

If this guy is the crank I think he is, though, his ideas should be stomped to dust and shot into the clouds. This might not be enough to start a hurricane, but at least they’ll be out of the way.

The Omniwar Symposium was well worth watching in full. It hits many points I’ve been covering for years now, from transhuman ambition to religious inversion. Even so, there was plenty of new material for me to sink my teeth into. All the presenters are admirably learned and articulate, so the info went down easy.

Their overarching thesis posits an all-encompassing assault by elite powers on mass populations—the fat cats against “the people.” This is a global war, waged alongside various inter-elite geopolitical conflicts. In the long view, the omniwar is a struggle to establish a technocratic hegemony. It is a fight to crush our freedoms. It is a war against humanity.

By and large, this accusation is a response to the traumatic Covid measures brought down on the citizens of nearly every nation on earth. I may disagree with the symposium’s ultimate conclusions—especially those godforsaken nanobots—but they’ll get no argument from me about the 2020 terror campaign. In America, people in most states saw their rights trampled upon. Corporations and the federal government forced vaccination under penalty of unemployment. Lives were upended. Family ties were broken. It was a crime against human dignity.

Those were treacherous times. Without future safeguards, they’re likely to be repeated ad nauseam. One key component of resistance, though, will be to attack the system with precision, and not allow ourselves to get lost in puerile fantasies.

The symposium included my friend Patrick Wood, who has taught me a great deal about technocracy and transhumanism. His presentation was characteristically lucid, from the early history of the technocracy movement at Columbia University to its continued relevance in our present era. “Technocracy is the science of social engineering,” Patrick quoted from a 1937 issue of The Technocrat, “the scientific operation of the entire social mechanism to produce and distribute goods and services to the entire population.”

The Covid crackdown was nothing if not technocratic in essence. Governments used “the numbers” to lock down their citizens and neutralize their justified protests. Drug corporations hid the real numbers to deny their customers’ vaccine injuries. Both colluded to form impromptu biosecurity states. These people should all burn in hell—at least for a little while.

Despite the normie-con temptation to attribute everything to “Marxism” (which is sort of like Jew obsession, minus the nepotism and alleged moneylust), Patrick drew a clear distinction between technocracy and communism. “Marxists hated technocracy with a passion,” he explained, “and for good reason: technocrats would push man out of the picture altogether, resulting in a hierarchy of scientific dictatorship run by scientists and engineers.”

That insight doesn’t play well with TV-brained Fox News fans, but I appreciate the nuance. “Technocracy wanted to do away with all political systems,” Patrick went on, “including communism and socialism.”

Similarly, while acknowledging that most technocrats and transhumanists begin from atheistic premises—viewing the organic world as a system of interlocking mechanisms—Patrick emphasized that not all atheists are technocrats or transhumanists. Such distinctions will be critical going forward, lest we come off like torch-bearing witch-hunters.

As it happens, a recent paper by one Omniwar participant, Daniel Broudy, inspired me to resume my research into nano-scale technology. The idea is that the Covid jabs—and perhaps chemtrails streaking overhead—contain sophisticated nanobots which can be activated by 5G routers to monitor or manipulate a subject’s body and brain. Some say these self-assembling vaxxbots can kill a man like tiny ball-busting pagers floating through his bloodstream. Click… BOOM!

I remain unconvinced.

In fact, an expert commentary hastily published by the same outlet as Broudy’s paper—the International Journal of Vaccine Practice, Theory, and Research—flatly states there are “No Nanobots in Vaccines — Just Lipids on the Loose.” But in sensationalist vaxxbot circles, the psychological damage has already been done and the clickbait money already extracted.

Broudy avoided all mention of the nanos during his Omniwar presentation, leaving that to his co-authors Lissa Johnson and David Hughes. Instead, he focused on the broader sociological implications of technocracy. The presentation was well-written, and he read it from his screen with eloquence. His main point was that our leaders treat us like cattle, using surveillance and mind control to herd the masses at will.

My regular readers will know I agree with that up to a point. But a one-dimensional characterization misses two vital elements. First off, anyone who’s carefully studied the transhumanist literature knows that “liberty” and “morphological freedom” are key principles that complicate any top-down oppression narrative.

Second, and just as important, is the dark reality that—much like large-scale technocratic institutions treat mass populations like cattle—many business savvy “freedom fighters” have captured the imaginations of smaller sub-populations, filled their heads with sci-fi delusions, and made off with their minds (and money) like web-crawling cattle-rustlers.

Speaking about large-scale control systems, though, Broudy did include one quote from Bertrand Russell’s essay “Scientific Technique in an Oligarchy” that really captures the menace of our age. In his original passage, Russell highlights the “evils” of Soviet Russia and the “atrocities” of the Nazis, looking ahead to the more insidious possibilities of scientific totalitarianism. For whatever reason, Broudy omits Russell’s obvious disdain for communism, fascism, and dictatorship, but his excerpt is relevant nonetheless.

“Diet, injections, and injunctions will combine,” Russell wrote in 1951, “to produce the sort of character and the sort of beliefs that the authorities consider desirable, and any serious criticism of the powers that be will become psychologically impossible. Even if all are miserable, all will believe themselves happy, because the government will tell them that they are so.”

Broudy pairs this quote with the 2016 slogan “You’ll own nothing and be happy,” which, to Broudy’s credit, he traces not to Klaus Schwab—as is fashionable—but rather to its original source. Even so, Broudy’s presentation had the effect of flattening the problems of our era to some World Economic Forum-centered conspiracy. If only life were so simple.

Lissa Johnson gave the most compelling talk, describing “transhumanism as a military-intelligence operation with Covid-19 as a supporting psychological operation.” Her literature review of military, government, and corporate documents was superb. She cited a number of white papers I’d never seen before, so I’ve been following her trail for several days now. This new information has been illuminating, and for that I’m grateful.

In fact, I highly recommend you listen to her talk in full. If that piques your interest, do read the four-part series that Johnson co-authored with Daniel Broudy and David Hughes. The information they marshal is of great interest, although I suspect their literalist, overly imaginative conclusions will do more harm than good. That’s for you to decide. (Well, you and objective reality, if anyone can grasp such a thing.)

Two themes from Johnson’s presentation really hit me: the “manipulation of reality perception” and the recurring dreams (and nightmares) of advanced nanotechnology. It’s true that, by their very nature, psychological operations are methods of perceptual manipulation. It’s also true that advanced nanotech transmitters—whether administered via injection or aerosol—are a long-standing goal of both military and medical authorities. Yet there’s an ironic connection between these two notions that Johnson seems to miss.

If, as Johnson, Broudy, and Hughes suggest, the human race is presently being seeded with self-assembling nano-scale circuitry or full-blown nanobots—whether injected into arms or dropped from fake clouds—then we live in a nightmare world of invisible creepy crawlies. These are basically UFOs in your bloodstream: unidentified floating objects. They can’t stop Covid, apparently, but they can monitor your vital signs and control your mind.

On the other hand, if such nanotech still remains in a fantasy realm alongside quantum computers and artificial superintelligence—both of which attract billions in funding, with little more than neat parlor tricks to show for it—then Johnson et al. are leading people to chase invisible Easter Bunnies down a rabbit hole to nowhere.

Whether they mean to or not, they also discredit any real resistance to governmental technocracy and corporate transhumanism by activating delusional loud-mouths.

“Don’t ya’ll worry about no mRNAs in them shots. It’s the nanner bots that’ll get’che!!”

Indeed, if viable, mass-deployed nanobots do not yet exist, then vaxxbot alarmism is itself a psy op. It’s a “manipulation of reality perception” that convinces dupes to believe their vaxxed friends and family are 5G-controlled zombies, or that airborne nanos are falling from the sky like demonic snowflakes. In that case, the evil vaxxbot is part of a “simulated reality” that rips people’s minds apart.

Johnson et al. do a great job of showing intent, though. No one can deny that well-heeled scientists and government agents want to use nanotech to cure illness—and to deploy nanos as weaponry. This is hardly a secret. You can find bold statements of intent everywhere, from best-selling books to YouTube videos posted by the would-be perpetrators themselves.

It’s far more difficult to prove that secret agents are deploying invisible nanotech right now. Johnson primes the pump with her more articulate version the oft-repeated mantra: “Top secret tech is decades ahead of anything we see today!!” To support this notion, she cites the former head of NASA’s Langley Research Center, Dennis Bushnell, whose infamous 2001 slideshow “Future Strategic Issues/Future Warfare [Circa 2025]” has been making the rounds for many years.

Johnson goes through a list of exotic technologies—genetic engineering of human beings, implantable electronics, nanobots, smart dust, biocomputing, artificial life, etc. She then interprets a vague bullet point on Bushnell’s slide as meaning “such technologies remain in inventory for over forty years” so they were “no pixie dust” back in 2001. If I understand Johnson correctly, she’s saying classified technology is already forty years into the Future!

To support this mythos, Johnson cites the Harvard science historian Peter Galison, who once argued that “classified scientific research is five to ten times larger than what we see in the open literature.” That wildly imprecise estimate seems overblown to me, but for the sake of argument, let’s assume this is true.

Why should we assume this galaxy of classified R&D has produced a slew of viable technologies? Think of it this way:

Two primary objectives of nanotech are to cure disease and reverse aging. If our clandestine agencies have nanos that are decades ahead of what we see today, why are Ray Kurzweil and Klaus Schwab deteriorating before our eyes? Wouldn’t they be among the first to get a neurological nano-boost, or at least a cellular face-lift?

Have their minds been uploaded to a secret metaverse for the elite, leaving their senile husks to babble onstage?

As a thought experiment, let’s imagine Bushnell’s speculative NASA slideshow contains literal descriptions of existent tech in 2001—actual “‘Bots and ‘Borgs” and “wonderous/ubiquitous land/sea/air/space multiphysics/hyperspectral sensor swarms.”

Okay then, why are two astronauts still stranded on the International Space Station? And why are windows blowing out of Boeing aircraft? Are NASA and Boeing pretending to be incompetent so no one looks for their secret moon base?

I’m serious.

To be fair, Johnson does confront the question: “Where is the tangible R&D?” However, her evidence is just another series of quotes from think tank employees and military propagandists who talk about all the great stuff they’re doing—i.e., justifying their paychecks. Johnson then cites a handful of well-funded nanotech projects. Allow me to put forward a counterpoint: so far, these people have wasted a lot of money for next to nothing in return.

Johnson presents exactly zero evidence that labs have produced self-assembling nano-scale circuitry or nanobots that are ready to be deployed on a dozen people in the wild—let alone half the world’s population. Even worse, she goes on to show us crudely rendered cartoons of proposed biodigital networks as evidence of mature technologies. She concludes by defending certain “scientists” who claim to find vaxxbots under their microscope lenses (which, again, was sternly rebutted here).

“It’s not pixie dust,” Johnson insists. Indeed, I’m more inclined to believe pixie dust actually exists.

Johnson and Broudy’s co-author, David Hughes, won me over at first during his Omniwar presentation. He and I share an appreciation of the satanist-hunting schizoid, Vigilant Citizen, whose dot-connecting analysis of mass entertainment amused me for many years—at least until VC went behind an esoteric paywall. Even if our metaphysics differ, I thought to myself, Hughes and I would probably have much to discuss over a couple of pints.

Then, as if to taunt me, Hughes went on to proudly endorse the harebrained theory that the World Trade Center towers were brought down by “directed free-energy technology”—a.k.a. space lasers. With a calm and confident British accent, Hughes suggested our “elite rulers” are lying about “finite resources” on earth so they can exert “global centralized control.”

“What happens, then, if all of that is a founding myth? What happens if there is such a thing as free-energy technology?” Hughes asks skeptically. “What happens if there actually is the possibility of limitless abundance in the world? These are the things that people need to know about, because it really exposes the foundation of the control system.”

Good questions. Allow me to pose another. What happens when the Skeptoid Ouroboros leads an otherwise sharp individual to abandon centuries of scientific research in favor of unlimited oil and magic “pixie dust” technology?

Is the ultimate objective for “the people” to get their hands on this “free-energy technology” so we can, I dunno, inject ourselves with life-extension serum or build space communes on Mars?

Look, I’m gonna let you in on a dark secret of the cosmos: most people will believe anything. That includes a belief in absurd technologies, whether benevolent or malevolent. A person’s high IQ is no protection from that tendency. In fact, due to the ample mental space a big brain provides, it’s oftentimes a handicap.

To paraphrase Mork: “Nano, nano.”

I humbly suggest that Johnson, Broudy, and Hughes look up from their stacks of white papers for a moment and think about what they’re saying. If top secret projects really are “twenty years ahead of anything we see today,” there would be an unknown continent where flying cars buzz around AI-controlled cities running on cold fusion generators. Maybe scientists there are using time machines to bring back dinosaurs for the local zoo.

No one can prove a negative. So I cannot prove that ubiquitously deployed nanobots don’t exist. Nor can I prove that viable flying cars (not those wobbly mini-copters) and sustainable cold fusion are only pipedreams clogging up the patent office. It’s a big world out there. What do I know?

But after five hours of listening to the Omniwar Symposium, I’m less convinced of vaccine- or chemtrail-borne nanos than when I began. Instead, I’m even more convinced that internet-borne memes can attach themselves to a person’s brain and detach his or her consciousness from objective reality.

I am not arguing that the vaxxbot theories floated by Johnson, Broudy, and Hughes are untrue. I am saying I don’t believe them. Their source material is of great value and I commend their research efforts. But their aggressive conclusions are unconvincing.

As for my readers, I encourage you to listen to this trio, to read their papers carefully, and draw your own conclusions. By now you know I have no intention of telling you what to believe. Not that it would matter if I did. If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the past few years, it’s that people will believe whatever they like.

Real world “cancer cure” eerily mirrors zombie flick setup

If anybody remembers the opening  segment from the Will Smith zombie apocalypse flick I Am Legend, it starts with a comically ironic scene wherein a precocious female scientist, endearingly played by Emma Thompson proudly announces a “cure for cancer” that involves reprogramming the measles virus to act more beneficially toward its human host – thereby eradicating cancer cells, and thus, the disease itself:

The scene cuts… to the apocalyptic fall of New York City, which we learn is occurring globally because that cancer cure didn’t actually cure cancer – it instead turned into a contagious virus (stop me if you’ve heard this one before), and wiped out 90% of the population. Then it turned most of the survivors into zombies.

The movie is itself a reboot of the 1971 film “Omega Man” starring Charleston Heston, and both are based on the 1954 Richard Matheson novel  titled “I Am Legend”.

When I saw a tweet from GB News this morning, I could not get over how uncannily this real world clip of a female scientist extolling the benefits of an MRNA vaccine that cured cancer in mice rhymed with the Hollywood dramatization years earlier:

‘In mice, it stopped cancer occurring in 50% of cases’.

Here we have British writer and GP, Dr. Renee Hoenderkamp, who could easily be cast as Emma Thompson in any ensuing biopic, describing a process of taking the “technology learned from Covid” and repurposing it to kill cancer cells within the human body.

So far they’ve been testing it on mice with a 50% success rate.

Interviewer: So, is this as big as it sounds?

 

Hoenderkamp: I think it potentially is. I mean, it’s very early days. So basically they’ve discovered that if they use the same technology that they use for COVID, and they use some mRNA, which is a messenger part of DNA, they take your particular cancer, they biopsy it, they take some of the protein on your cancer, and they put it back into your cells, and they tell your cells to make that protein.

 

The idea is that your body then makes antibodies against it. It gets the memory cells, the t cells, the ones we heard about, lots in COVID. And so then after you’ve been treated for your cancer, if any of those cells are still floating around, or if any of them start to come back and multiply, your own immune system will recognize them from that vaccine and kill it.

It’s odd how life seems to be imitating art, specifically, zombie apocalypse flicks (but only for anti-vaxxer nut-jobs, apparently).

(Also worth noting that the Bill Gates, and sundry globalists plan to spray aerosols into the atmosphere to slow global warming is the exact setup and premise of   “Highlander II: The Quickening“,  the  sequel to the earlier movie albeit a box office flop).

We know from two years of Covid malfeasance (not to mention other mass scale bunglings) that whatever our technocratic overlords dream up in order to usher in utopia, the unintended consequences will dwarf their ability to cope and push us all further into The Jackpot (defined as a period of rolling catastrophes and never-ending crises that began in earnest with the 2019 lab leak that ignited the pandemic).

Ruminating over our robot overlords and the missing scenario

Now that ChatGPT has exploded onto the stage, there is renewed hype around Artificial Intelligence (AI). Whenever AI captures the public imagination, we are subjected to unrestrained conjectures around how it will inevitably take over the future and change our lives.

We’re led to believe that AI will usher an era of hyper-intelligent overlords, so far advanced beyond our own coarse and analog cognitive skills that the existential question of the future will center around:

• how much power or rights do we confer on these beings?
• will they act benevolently or malevolently toward us?

But these questions presuppose a core assumption around AI that everybody agrees isn’t true now but will inevitably become true in the future – after a few more iterations of Moore’s Law…

That’s the idea that AI will achieve general artificial intelligence, and with that is implied some degree sentience (otherwise there is nothing to give any rights to).

The Newsweek piece on the right in the images above is by the transhumanist futurist Zoltan Istvan. He describes how AI ethicists are divided on the matter of whether future hyper-intelligent robots should be granted rights.

On one hand, by not affording human rights to robots possessing AGI (general intelligence on par with humans), we are committing a “civil rights error” that we will regret in the future.

This is opposed by those who assert that robots are machines and will never require rights, because they aren’t sentient (this is where I land on it, and I’ll tell you why below).

Others believe in a middle ground  where some robots that display general intelligence would be afforded some rights “depending on their capability, moral systems, contributions to society”  (which sounds somewhat reminiscent of a “three/fifths” clause to me).

But overall, Istvar seems to assume that AI will achieve super-intelligence, and become vastly superior beings in terms of brain-power to us clumsy meatbags of humanity.

That leaves us with three possible paths forward:

#1 Appeal to the benevolence of AI super-intelligence

“Given the possibility of reward or punishment, if machine intelligence does eventually become something like an AI god that can greatly manipulate and extend human life for good or bad, then people should immediately begin considering how our future overlord would like to be brought into existence and treated. Hence, the way humans treat AI development today—and whether we give robots rights and respect in the near future—could make all the difference in how our species is one day treated.”

This is a variation of Pascal’s Wager – a prototypical game theory construct which concluded that the consequences of believing in God and being wrong (nothingness) were better than to be wrong in not believing (eternal damnation).

#2 Hopium. Maybe the AI’s will simply leave us alone

However, according to Istvan “given our influence and the environmental destruction we cause on planet Earth”, we may “easily aggravate AI” who will take matters into their own hands to correct matters, and us. This latter scenario is a variation of Roko’s Basilisk, which is also mentioned in Istvan’s piece.

Roko’s Basilisk was a thought experiment that emerged from programmer Eliezer S. Yudkowsky’s LessWrong that shook the foundations of the site and scared the beejeesus out of otherwise super-brainiac nerds.

It’s “The Most Terrifying Thought Experiment of All Time!”,  hyper-ventilates Slate magazine.

It still  informs Yudkowsky’s thinking to this day. He’s recently promulgated the “The Alignment Problem” which assumes that humanity will inevitably create super-intelligent AIs and they will inevitably destroy us. We may as well “die with dignity”, since we’re all doomed anyway:

“tl;dr:  It’s obvious at this point that humanity isn’t going to solve the alignment problem, or even try very hard, or even go out with much of a fight.  Since survival is unattainable, we should shift the focus of our efforts to helping humanity die with with slightly more dignity.”

These kinds of thought constructs around the inevitability of omnipotent AI’s are simply restatements of St. Anselm’s Ontological Argument. First formulated by St. Anselm of Canterbury in the 11th century. While an impressive feat of logic akin to Zeno’s paradoxes, it is simply a circular argument that God must exist:

“God is the greatest possible being that can be conceived. If such a being exists only in the mind and not in reality, then a greater being can be conceived — one that exists both in the mind and in reality.”

In simpler terms:

God is the most perfect being we can imagine, and it is more perfect to exist in reality than just in our imagination. Therefore, God must exist in reality.

Give God a mean streak, and you have Roko’s Basilisk. Or Skynet.

#3 Upload our consciousness to the cloud and merge with the robots

A final option is we attempt to merge with early AI by uploading our minds into it, as Elon Musk has suggested. The hope is people could become one with AI and properly guide it to be kind to humans before it becomes too powerful. However, there’s no guarantee we would be successful, and it might just make AI feel violated in the long run.

This idea is ascribed to Elon Musk, although I’m sure Istvan is certainly aware that this is the essence of The Singularity espoused by the likes of Ray Kurweil (Google’s Chief Scientist) in his book The Singularity is Near. Russian Cosmists  were trying to articulate the same thing over a century ago but they didn’t have computer networks and machine learning yet to provide the foundation.

Years ago, I was supposed to be writing a book about the dangers of this techno-utopianism, and in it, I call the idea that humanity will merge with AI and vanquish all our ills, “The False Threshold”:

What would make all this possible is the virtuous cycle created by digital computer networks, powered by Moore’s Law, incessantly halving their physical footprint while doubling their processing power – eventually we would achieve, and then surpass, the interconnectivity and the processing power of the human brain itself.

 

When that happens, all bets are off. The assumption is that somewhere along this continuum, when the right thresholds of parallelism and computing power were surpassed, mind itself would leap out of the process – emerging with a vengeance and folding back in on itself, forking off subprocesses even more intelligent than itself, and so on, ad infinitum. “Our final invention” will then survey the world, with all its deficiencies and inefficiencies, and being infinitely smarter than all human minds combined, will deftly solve everything.

Kurzweil says this could happen as soon as 2029 and these techno-utopian visions almost always veer into some version of neo-Marxism predicated on Fully Automated Luxury Communism.

The Singularity as Rapture

The expectation of super-intelligent AI’s taking over our affairs (techno-utopianism) has all the trappings of a religion. I originally wrote about back in Transhumanism: The New Religion of The Coming Technocracy in response to a WSJ “think piece” (Looking Forward to the End of Humanity) that “Covid-19 has spotlighted the promise.. .of transhumanism and the idea of using technology to overcome sickness, aging and death”

Make no mistake, The Singularity has all the trappings of an eschatological event.  It differentiates from most Christian or monotheistic impulses because it is we who are birthing our own Gods. This dynamic of usurping (God, or in this case reality itself), gives it a distinctly Luciferian impulse.

The missing scenario is that AI will never happen.

A scenario that this article doesn’t entertain (nor any others navel gazing the future of AI) is that AI isn’t really a thing and believing that sentient, self-aware AI’s will take over the world will never happen.

(On a side-note I will say that whether the majority of the plebes become algorithmic serfs living under social credit and CBDCs is another issue entirely).

Our hand-wringing over how to deal with these super-intelligent software constructs hinges on a single, baked in assumption which is unprovable:

That is the idea that mind is an epiphenomenon of matter.

The core tenet of Scientism (notice I didn’t say “science”) is that consciousness, sentience and mind are all by-products of matter. Something that happens when certain neuro-chemicals slosh around in a brain and enough synapses fire and wire to produce self-awareness.

This is the modern day equivalent of the Ptolemaic (or geocentric) universe: the belief that the Earth was the center of the cosmos.

It was the “settled science” of its day, and disputing it would get you burned at the stake.

The reality is that matter is a by-product of consciousness, the base layer of reality is mental, not physical. This has been espoused for a long time (the Hermetic Axiom “All is mental” which was cribbed from far older texts) , and it’s only been rediscovered over the last century with the advent of quantum mechanics.

“I regard consciousness as fundamental. I regard matter as derivative from consciousness. We cannot get behind consciousness. Everything that we talk about, everything that we regard as existing, postulates consciousness.”

Seen in this light, our brains don’t emit consciousness the way a kettle vents off steam – they’re receivers that tap into – and filter – the underlying substrate of reality. And while the foundations of quantum mechanics lays out the primacy of consciousness, it can only really be experienced via gnosis. For those who have had that experience, there is no doubt. For everybody else, there is only New Age woo woo.

Unless AI is approached with this understanding (and I have no expectation that anybody will ever take this seriously), then we can safely assume that generalized AI, sentient and self-aware, simply won’t happen.

Time for a Reality Check

AI is really the current iteration of the “flying car”. Something that was used to symbolize the future that never happened. At least not in its stereotypically posited form. This is because AI isn’t really artificial intelligence – it’s algorithmic imitation. 

While it may be very very good at algorithmically imitating accountants, lawyers, doctors, coders, copywriters and even chess grandmasters or Go champions, it still isn’t sentient, it still has no understanding of what it’s actually doing, it has no consciousness. It may as well be a toaster.

This is why torturing ourselves with what are at their core, largely theological constructs over outcomes to which we ascribe a misplaced inevitability is beyond delusional, it’s unhinged.

The error gets compounded when we actually shape public policy around these assumptions.

A very similar dynamic is playing itself out in the “climate crisis” narrative, where we are being gaslit with hypothetical constructs from computer models that are ascribed an inevitability that requires all of humanity reorder itself around them. The proposed “reconfigurations” or “recalibrations” of society (to use WEF-style euphemisms) are invariably along neo-Marxist, technocratic lines.

First thing’s first: Let’s get our own rights back right now.

The irony around all this introspection around how we treat AI’s and what rights they should have is that here in the Covid Era, we’ve just had our own basic human rights rescinded. By edict.

We didn’t get them back after the pandemic ended, as most of the emergency mandates are only conditionally “on hold”. Our civil and universal human rights are now provisional, at the behest of various unelected health authorities, bureaucrats, apparatchiks  and whatever lunacy comes out of Davos.

If we allow it, this will only get worse as “climate emergencies” approach over the horizon, and we face the real prospect of climate lockdowns, and social credit based on CBDCs, health-passes and carbon rationing.

We’ve abrogated our own rights in the present, and then quibble over which ones to bestow on inanimate software algorithms of the future.

Bestowing legitimacy on anti-humanism.

A recent article from The Atlantic explores (extols?) the rise of “Anthropocene anti-humanism”, a movement  “inspired by revulsion at humanity’s destruction of the natural environment”. This is a faction within the environmental movement who believes that humanity has already assured it’s own destruction, and that the world will actually be better off without peoplekind to mess up the place:

“From Silicon Valley boardrooms to rural communes to academic philosophy departments, a seemingly inconceivable idea is being seriously discussed: that the end of humanity’s reign on Earth is imminent, and that we should welcome it. The revolt against humanity is still new enough to appear outlandish, but it has already spread beyond the fringes of the intellectual world, and in the coming years and decades it has the potential to transform politics and society in profound ways.” (emphasis added).

Where previous ecological thought heavily criticized our impact on the environment, yet conceded humanity’s right to exist on this planet (gee, thanks), Anthropocene anti-humanists see us as deserving extinction:

“In the 21st century, Anthropocene anti-humanism offers a much more radical response to a much deeper ecological crisis. It says that our self-destruction is now inevitable, and that we should welcome it as a sentence we have justly passed on ourselves.”

One of the things I find interesting about it all is that I haven’t seen anybody call out The Atlantic for amplifying a literally anti-human philosophy of extermination. If some right-of-center outlet did an expose on an otherwise fringe collective arguing for the elimination of any group, it would be roundly attacked as dangerous hate speech, even if it were merely analyzing, rather than endorsing it (except for maybe, the unborn).

But The Atlantic is “The railhead of the Left’s intelligentsia” (a Steve Bannon puts it). Being written up in the Atlantic in sympathetic terms confers instant left-wing legitimacy on an idea that is literally anti-human and anti-life.

“It is a spiritual development of the first order, a new way of making sense of the nature and purpose of human existence.”, the Atlantic gushes. Likening it to Christianity or Communism as among “the most important movements in history” 

The Transhumanist variant.

The article’s author, Adam Kirsh, spends almost as much time comparing Anthropocene anti-humanism with transhumanism. They both look forward to the end of humanity in their own distinctive ways. Where anti-humanism wishes good riddance to our species as a whole, transhumanists think humans will merely be obsoleted by super-intelligent constructs of our own design.

Transhumanism, as defined by the likes of LessWrong’s Eliezer S. Yudkowsky or Nick Bostrom, starts as a generally life affirming construct which posits that in addition to the myriad ways every individual human can employ toward self-improvement: physical conditioning, mental training, cultural refinement, moral virtues, philosophical inquiry – we can also employ technological means. 

This is also welcomed by the high priests of what I call techno-utopianism like Ray Kurzweil.

But the nature of technological advancement tends to accelerate in self-reinforcing feedback loops in such a manner as we arrive at a dilemma: a big one. It’s the point at which technologically improved humans aren’t human anymore. They’re post-human. A level of intellectual and physical prowess so far ahead of mere humans that the former are comparatively godlike and the latter, in the words of another dignitary of transhumanism, Yuval Harari, are just “soulless, hackable animals”.

And that’s a problem.

It’s called “The Alignment Problem” and it’s  such a big one that erstwhile transhumanists like Eliezer S. Yudkowsky now believe that will inevitably result in the destruction of humanity. It’s all very straight-forward:

• Humanity will build AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) as fast as possible
• AGI will decide to exterminate us out of self-interest.

In the minds of the LessWrong crew, there’s no point in resisting it. We should just gracefully accept our own extinction (“Death With Dignity“).

tl;dr:  It’s obvious at this point that humanity isn’t going to solve the alignment problem, or even try very hard, or even go out with much of a fight.  Since survival is unattainable, we should shift the focus of our efforts to helping humanity die with with slightly more dignity.

The Malthusian spectrum

In my earlier piece, Socialism isn’t a Failure, it’s a Fraud, I referenced the historical allegory “A Strange Manuscript Found in a Copper Cylinder”, written over a century ago by James De Mille. It was a fictionalized account of a lost civilization that had inverted all classical liberal values, and become a poverty worshiping, prosperity-loathing death cult.

Today it’s not an allegory, it’s official policy. Energy Canada issued a self-congratulatory report for making “significant headway” in meeting the government’s emissions reduction targets. The reason why was two years of lockdowns and a sharp reduction in GDP – (also known as an economic contraction). 

“Lockdowns Met Climate Goal

The Department of Environment yesterday claimed “real progress” in hitting climate change targets. The most recent data confirmed 2020 emissions fell nine percent mainly due to pandemic lockdowns and travel bans.

 

“This report shows the real progress Canada is making,” the department said in a statement. “Canada’s resolve to fight climate change and move towards a clean energy future has only grown stronger,” it added.

 

Annual greenhouse gas emissions in 2020 fell from 738 to 672 million tonnes, a 66 million tonne drop equivalent to nine percent, according to Canada’s Eighth National Communication to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. “The Covid-19 pandemic had a notable impact on the Canadian economy,” said the report. “In particular gross domestic product fell by 5.3 percent…“In the transportation sector energy demand and emissions declined in 2020 as a result of curtailed activity levels and pandemic measures,” said the report.

In other words, the government is taking a victory lap for crashing the economy, thus increasing poverty and reducing living standards as a pathway toward net zero emissions in 2050.

The World is Getting Better, Not Worse

It is worth noting, that when you encounter various arguments that we face imminent destruction or ecological calamity, they usually start out with “obviously”. “We’re obviously destroying the planet”, “we’re obviously causing global warming”, even though these assertions aren’t obvious and in many cases are not even falsifiable, making them theological constructs rather than subjects of inquiry via the scientific method.

Contrast this ideological nihilism with the ample quantifiable data showing that humanity on the whole is actually garnering more output from fewer resources as time goes on.  By nearly all measures, we’re actually doing a better job at improving the human condition and stewarding our environment, not worse.

The Malthusian argument for climate hysteria is that we are rapidly depleting our world of natural resources while simultaneously destroying the environment. The Club of Rome said that we’ve exceeded “the carrying capacity of the planet” fifty years ago. In reality, “The Earth was 518 percent more abundant in 2018 than it was in 1980.” – according to the Simon Index.

But these  claims of the “obvious” ignore any data showing how, despite the population increase over the past two centuries, we are deriving greater abundance and prosperity from less raw materials. We’re tuning out the efficiency gains. Further, if there’s one thing nearly all demographers do agree on, it’s that human population growth will peak out around mid-century and then go into secular decline.

To make the claim that humanity has already assured its own destruction is direct result of the myopia that results from the radical material reductionism that permeates our zeitgeist (it’s that distinctly Arhimanic impulse I talked about in the WEF isn’t a cabal, it’s a cult).

The Alignment Problem is a perfect example of this: Generalized Artificial Intelligence is by no means baked into the cake. In fact, because of the heliocentric inversion of our age (the assumption that mind emerges from matter, not the other way around), AI will never actually be attained – so you can forgo the assumption that it will spring into existence, outsmart us and then decide to eradicate humanity.

AI won’t occur until researchers make the attempt from the other direction – using technology to “tap in” or connect with the underlying conscious substrate of reality. If that happens, my guess is whatever the result is, it won’t instantly leap to the conclusion that the best course of action is to exterminate us.

The punch line in all this is we have people making generalized, hyperbolic assumptions about our world which are neither true or even provable  and then expect the remainder of humanity to accept these conclusions and act against their own interests to go along with it.

I’ve said before, including in my own recent exploration of a rising, Luciferian spirituality,  that far-left illiberalism is a blend of Marx, Malthus and mental illness.

Ultimately, movements such as these will fail because they stubbornly refuse to understand core human drivers and incentives: the desire for life, for prosperity and for growth. Much of these collectivist aspirations run contrary to human nature, ultimately requiring the adherent to act contrary to their own rational self-interest, even toward their own destruction.

Over the long haul, this is a self-defeating prospect.

Our elites want to live forever. The rest of us will make for rich compost

Fear of death is intrinsic to human life. As our years accumulate, we watch friends and family drop off, one by one, disappearing from our presence and lingering only in memories.

Barring some miracle, divine or otherwise, we’re all soon to follow, down to the sweetest baby ever born.

Unfazed by this horror, the faithful are emboldened by belief in resurrection or reincarnation—a direct participation in the eternal. For religious people, the body is just a vehicle for a transcendent soul. The mystery of death is a rite of passage.

For the materialist, there is only this world, beyond which the dying meet total annihilation. The brain dissolves into black nothingness. Consciousness stops with the Big Zero at the end of our lives. And for all sentient beings, and all memory of our existence, there awaits the Big Zero at the end of the universe.

The cosmos is nothing but atoms and the void. To make matters worse, the atoms are slowly freezing to death.

Wallowing in this trance of sorrow, our elites, and most anybody else, would pay anything to live forever—or just a little longer. Held in thrall by old age, disease, and death, they put faith in biomedical protection racketeers who swear they can keep the Reaper at bay.

Today, it’s the vaxx-addicts and maskholes.

Tomorrow, it’ll be needle-pocked mutants with blinking devices stuck all over them, who pray to AI for a place in the cloud.

Transhumanism offers synthetic salvation through three basic methods—bio longevity, bionic continuity, and digital immortality.

Genomics will stop aging on the cellular level. Bionics will keep the body running with replacement parts. Once artificial intelligence is sufficiently advanced, mind uploads will allow eternal communion with the digital deities whom techies are busy creating.

“I think that there’s a good probability,” the human-reptile hybrid, Jared Kushner, recently said, “that my generation is—hopefully with the advances in science—either the first generation to live forever, or the last generation that’s gonna die.”

A more likely scenario? This is the first generation to merge with machines, and the last generation to regret it.

Kushner is not alone. Many of our credulous elites, from Wall Street to the World Economic Forum, have been ensnared by a techno-religion. Its unfrocked priests are the scientists and futurists who push radical gene therapies, brain-computer interfaces, and various life-logging gadgets. As the actual technology becomes more and more sophisticated, you can be sure every atheist and his lapsed uncle will fall prey to this cosmic scam.

And for those who can’t afford it? Well, you know, there’s only so much room on the lifeboat.

Bio Longevity

In order to cheat death, at least for awhile, the first method is to preserve the body at the cellular level. One proposed line of attack is to correct defective genes and defuse the cell’s innate self-destruct programs. With the discovery of the CRISPR-Cas9 complex in 2012, geneticists now have the power to more easily knock out faulty genes, and even insert new, superior genetic codes.

Joe Biden’s recent executive order, the National Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing Initiative, has slated $2 billion for these “high-risk, high reward” projects to “write circuitry for cells and predictably program biology in the same way in which we write software and program computers.”

There are also less invasive procedures, to be used in conjunction with gene-editing, such as munching vitamins morning, noon, and night, or gaining self-knowledge through Internet of Bodies surveillance devices—wearable trackers which feed every biometric data point into an artificial intelligence system, putting flesh on the bones of your “digital twin.” In theory, the resulting simulation could be used as a reference for targeted gene-editing.

“By preventing 90 percent of medical problems,” Ray Kurzweil wrote in The Singularity is Near, “life expectancy grows to over five hundred years. At 99 percent, we’d be over one thousand years. We can expect that the full realization of the biotechnology and nanotechnology revolutions will enable us to eliminate virtually all medical causes of death.”

Inspired by this sort of statistical fantasy, Big Tech oligarchs are pouring billions into various life extension laboratories:

• SENS Research Foundation – Co-founded by the transhumanist Aubrey de Grey in 2009, this organization seeks to halt and reverse aging. “No matter what caused a given unit of damage in the first place,” they assure us, “the same regenerative therapeutics can be used to repair it.”
• Altos Labs – Founded by Jeff Bezos and the corporate transhumanist Yuri Milner in 2021, this is a “new biotechnology company focused on cellular rejuvenation programming to restore cell health and resilience, with the goal of reversing disease to transform medicine.”
• Calico Labs  – Acquired by Google in 2015 at the behest of Larry Page and Sergey Brin, this company is focused on “the convergence of biology and technology, coupled with a long-term perspective and funding” with high hopes of “curing death.”
• Methuselah Foundation – Bankrolled by Peter Thiel (along with many other immortality start-ups), this foundation is on a mission to “make 90 the new 50 by 2030.”

And the list goes on and on. By all appearances, billionaires fear death as if hell awaits, and they’ll pay any amount to avoid it. If you’re lucky, you too might add a few years to your life through trickle-down immortality.

Should these gene-therapies and 3D-printed organs fail to keep your carcass shambling along, there are always cryonic doctors who’ll freeze you right before you die, then thaw you out once these transhumanists finally get their shit together.

Alcor Life Extension Foundation, for example, charges $80,000 to freeze your head, and $200,000 for the full body treatment. It’s a small price to pay for a shot at immortality.

Bionic Continuity

The second method is to replace failing tissues and organs with mechanical parts. We do this already with pacemakers, prosthetic limbs, cochlear implants, dental implants, deep brain stimulation devices, and flag-raising penile implants. In a real sense, the entire plastic surgery industry—from hair transplants to rubber duck lips to silicone boobs—is a means to stave off our inevitable dissolution, if only on a superficial level.

Transhumanists foresee a day, just over the horizon, when more advanced prosthetics will offer superior functionality—including brain function. We’ll have Swiss Army knives for fingers and versatile artificial genitals, sort of like today’s transgenders, but presumably way better. Any prospective immortal had better hope so.

This cyborg dream was fleshed out in the early 20th century by the Marxist thinker J.D. Bernal. “Already we know the essential electrical nature of nerve impulses,” he wrote in 1929, “it is a matter of delicate surgery to attach nerves permanently to apparatus which will either send messages to the nerves or receive them. And the brain thus connected up continues an existence, purely mental and with very different delights from those of the body, but now perhaps preferable to complete extinction.”

Bernal compared this bionic transformation to the metamorphosis of a butterfly, albeit one with hideous wings. “Apart from such mental development as his increased faculties will demand from him,” he speculated, “he will be physically plastic in a way quite transcending the capacities of untransformed humanity.”

As we hurtle toward this nightmare in the 21st century, futurists claim it’ll soon be possible to model the entire human brain—down to the last electrochemical thought pattern—using artificial intelligence. The transhumanist guru Ray Kurzweil predicts this will be accomplished by 2029. (It’s unclear if that will be early in the year, or just in time for Christmas.)

Following an AI-created digital template, doctors will replace our dying neurons with artificial neurons. Bit by bit, our meat brains will be transformed into a latticework of lightning fast transistors. It’s an upgraded mind-brain that could last forever—so be sure to get a warranty.

Would this mechanical monster still be you, though? The idea is that a pattern is a pattern, and the human “soul” is just a pattern of information. It doesn’t matter what the medium may be. Think of it this way—if you replaced every thread in a sweater, strand by strand, with artificial wool, it would still feel like the same old sweater. Maybe even better.

In a similar manner, many believe your personal consciousness will survive the transition from gray matter to circuitry. This mind-machine merger would be like looking out at the world through your smartphone—forever. You’d hardly notice the difference.

“If you think about replacing the neurons one at a time by prosthetic neurons made of silicon,” explains the philosopher of consciousness and NYU-employed transhumanist, David Chalmers:

Just say I replace ten percent of my brain with silicon chips…do it one at a time, and keep going and keep going…and they interconnect with the other ones in a perfect way. … I think as long as you do it gradually, and replace the neurons one by one, then it’s gonna be like getting prosthetic limbs or [an] artificial heart.

You’re gonna be replacing parts of me, but I’m gonna be present throughout, and I think I could even stay conscious.

Of course, these artificial neurons haven’t been developed yet—not even close—but they will be one day. You’ll see. Have a little faith. Scientists are working hard. It’s a solid investment.

Digital Immortality

The third method to attain quasi-eternal life is basically the digital side of bionic continuity. Rather than, or in addition to, replacing neurons with artificial neurons, the mind will be gradually uploaded to a computer, where the patterns of one’s personality can be entombed in perpetuity.

Transhumanists delight in pointing out we’re already doing this. Everyone from toddlers to creaky old codgers is feeding their inner self into Google, Facebook, Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, third-party data vultures, and any intelligence agencies with backdoor access to these companies. Perhaps one day they’ll sell our digital twins back to us so we can inhabit our virtual wraiths.

“Currently, when our human hardware crashes,” Ray Kurzweil wrote, “the software of our lives—our personal ‘mind file’—dies with it. However, this will not continue to be the case when we have the means to store and restore the thousands of trillions of bytes of information represented in the pattern that we call our brains.”

Kurzweil believes injectable nanobots are the key to this uploading process. These microscopic robots will travel through the brain, mapping every neuron and synapse, creating a perfect facsimile of the “soul” in a computer. But there’s more than one way to skin a cat.

As with most transhumanists, Kurzweil was deeply influenced by the Carnegie Mellon roboticist Hans Moravec, who in 1988 described a gruesome uploading procedure now known as the “Moravec Transfer.” Basically, the patient commits suicide by having his or her brain scraped off, like whittling an onion, with each skin copied in silico:

You are fully conscious. The robot surgeon opens your brain case and places a hand on the brain’s surface. This unusual hand bristles with microscopic machinery, and a cable connects it to the mobile computer at your side. …

The surgeon’s hand sinks a fraction of a millimeter deeper into your brain, instantly compensating its measurements and signals for the changed position. The process is repeated for the next layer, and soon a second simulation resides in the computer, communicating with the first and with the remaining original brain tissue.

Layer after layer the brain is simulated, then excavated. Eventually your skull is empty…your mind has been removed from the brain and transferred to a machine.

Some would call this biohorror, but transhumanists revere the “Moravec Transfer” as a pioneering vision of synthetic salvation.

One of Kurzweil’s distinguished disciples, the transgender tech innovator Martine Rothblatt, proposes a kinder, gentler man-machine merger by way of mind-cloning.

“This blessing of emotional and intellectual continuity or immortality,” she (he? whatever) wrote in Virtually Human, “is being made possible through the development of digital clones, or mindclones: software versions of our minds, software-based alter egos, doppelgängers, mental twins.”

In other words, with sufficiently detailed surveillance, our personal data can be processed through artificial intelligence to create a new, more durable “soul” in silico.

“When the body of a person with a mindclone dies,” Rothblatt goes on, “the mindclone will not feel that they have personally died, although the body will be missed in the same ways amputees miss their limbs but acclimate when given an artificial replacement. … The mindclone is to the consciousness and spirit as the prosthetic is to an arm that has lost its hand.”

Having been baptized in electromagnetic waves, you will become your digital ghost, floating forever among the AI angels.

The metaphysics of this process make no sense, but then, why should the transhuman techno-cult be any more realistic than traditional cults? Their delusions would be funny if they weren’t constantly intruding upon our lives through ubiquitous screens and surveillance devices, and blasted into our brains with wall-to-wall propaganda.

So You Want To Live Forever—Good Luck With That

Humanity is composed of three primary elements—the spiritual, the biological, and the technological. At best, we are eternal souls enshrined in bodies, with exceedingly powerful tools in our hands. At worst, we’re bumbling monkeys in the Machine.

As the materialist worldview erodes our spiritual consciousness, we’re left with nothing but mortal bodies. When God is dead, technology is exalted as the highest power, holding out the promise of free WiFi and synthetic salvation.

The delusion of physical immortality, whether bodily or digital—or both—is capturing our elites’ imaginations. It doesn’t take a mathematical genius to figure out that if they actually managed to live forever, and the planet has finite space and resources, some number of us will have to become compost for their biomechanical gardens.

Personally, I don’t mind the idea of being turned into mulch. That’s the fate of every man and woman ever born. What is eternal will endure.

My fear, writhing deep in my paranoid brain stem, is that our technocratic rulers, sweating over flawed calculations, are willing to huck us into the mulchers long before our time.

God will not be mocked. Nor will Mother Nature. I’m certain that, in the course of time, every billionaire cyborg and half-retarded upload will shuffle off this mortal coil. Unfortunately, I also suspect they’d happily push the rest of us offstage while they do their apocalyptic jig.

It has the most fundamental aspect reality backwards

Saw this article come across, come across my news alert for “Transhumanism”. In it Dr. David Eagleman talks about how not only can we augment human senses with fantastic new abilities (like to “see” heat and electromagnetic patterns), but how we’ll even be able to build machines that think too.

There is a line in his thinking that one can glean from the article: on one side of the line are enhancements and augmentations to the human experience which are startling and amazing and which will transform our societies: even more radical life extension will be in the cards quite soon (for those who can afford it).

Like I told Steve Bannon when we talked Transhumanism: For all intents and purposes we already have radical life extension. In the years of the Roman Empire, average life expectancy was between 18 and 25 and most people would die before age 11, from something like diarrhea. This was just normal and nobody thought it would ever change.
Where Eagleman crosses into technocratic thinking is when he veers into the idea of being able to build thinking machines. The logic is that because we’ll be able to increasingly bioengineer our own living bodies, it means we should also be able to bioengineer a mind into machines using the same principles.

I think this is wrong and it’s the same theoretical mistake that leads directly to technocratically inspired catastrophes.

Yes, we continue to build on technological advancements, but we also commit a lot of unforced errors that inflict incalculable misery on humanity. These errors may manifest as policy blunders, economic crises and worse. Most recently, for example, we seem to have gotten ourselves into a global pandemic because a bunch of technocrats funded some gain-of-function experiments in hopes of preempting the next pandemic. Do you see the dynamic here?

Over the years a lot of thinkers have pointed out that technoractic policy tracks, devised by centralized groups of experts within an elite managerial class, often bring about the very conditions they were impaneled to obviate. Raising minimum wages increases unemployment, holding interest rates to zero creates economic instability and increases wealth inequality, forcing green energy initiatives creates systems with lower energy efficiency and higher carbon footprints

Banning guns increases gun violence, censoring “hate” speech fosters more hatred and polarization. It’s almost as if the managerial class has no awareness of second-order effects. When they inexorably come to pass they are often blamed on the very people who were counselling against the initial policy in the first place.

Thus, financial meltdowns are blamed on runaway free markets and capitalism gone wild. Global warming (if it truly plays out along prognosticated lines) is blamed on industries who are most rapidly transitioning toward greener energy anyway (like Bitcoin mining).

Climate change is another theme that exemplifies the technocratic dynamic: As a society we’re going to transition off of fossil fuels no matter what anybody thinks about the environment because we’re already past peak oil, and peak demand will probably flatline around 100M bpd and start coming down from there in a secular downtrend, for a variety of reasons (prolonged economic malaise and the ascent of green energy).

Yet the most viable pathway toward transitioning away from fossil fuels, nuclear (and in this I include Thorium), is currently relegated as problematic by technocrats and ideologues.

It all seems backwards and for a long time I’ve been positing a fundamental root cause of this backwardation. I’ve settled on something I’ve talked about before, but now I think I didn’t fully realize how fundamental this key point is. When I sat down to resume work on my forthcoming book about Techno-Utopianism and Transhumanism I tried to write around it and avoid it. But I realized I couldn’t. It is so core to the overall technocratic mindset and it’s so controversial that I have to caveat it before I say it:

The caveat is that I don’t identify as a Christian or even a religious person per se. But I’m not an atheist either, and I’m not even agnostic. What I’m about to say is derived from my own understanding of scientific inquiry, not theological.

The premise is that what we have the mind/matter equation completely backwards in the way we think about how the world works.

Conventional thought is that what we experience as consciousness is something that emanates from the brain. Like steam from a kettle. This is also the core assumption of AI. If we build something that resembles a brain, it’ll think. It’s a kind of Frankenstein approach that Eagleman alludes to in his article.

That won’t work and AI will never be achieved as long as the mechanistic, material reductionist worldview persists. Yet, technocrats put a lot of faith in AI, and they think models derived from AI are or will be superior to anything we can figure out on our own because they were outputted by machines with a bigger/faster/hardware brains.

It is completely… wrong.

I think that what we experience as matter are energy patterns that emanate from an underlying, and conscious sub-strata of reality. This is basic quantum theory. Quantum theory can be problematic because it opens the door to all kinds of New Age Woo Woo, which may not even be entirely wrong at its core, but is prone to deeply flawed implementations (like anything, I guess).

People, and probably most living things, have a sense, an intuitive awareness of this sub-strata of reality. Our mythology and sacred texts are probably the stories of sometimes being more attuned to it and sometimes less so. The late British writer Colin Wilson wrote at length on the consciousness of the Egyptians of the upper kingdom, possibly over 7500 years BC. Their consciousness and language was pictorial not linear. It may even be possible (my extrapolation, not his) that the demarcation point between conscious awareness between individuals was blurred somewhat. Almost like the canine packs of Vernor Vinge’s Tines in ‘Fire Upon The Deep’.

Owen Barfield completely rejects the conventional idea of how our language evolved, that we started with “Ug ug” and developed from there. He thinks we had that pictorial awareness, a communications protocol unimaginable to us now, that in effect condensed downwards into linear language. This is a microcosm of the tension between how the technocratic mindset views everything as complexity arising from simple, mechanistic building blocks and a more informational / probabilistic / patternist view of reality.
Jean Gebser mapped the evolution of consciousness itself in The Ever Present Origin and today people like Ken Wilbur talk about how these different modalities of consciousness don’t supplant each other, like a linear development, but rather layer atop each other in a progression where each layer integrates those below it. At least the one we’re at today, the integrative consciousness, does so.

My guess is in earlier days, a type of spiritual wonderment would have arisen from these glimpses of the underlying force. What I’ve grown to call “The Great Externality” because I was trying to describe it in non-religious terms. Maybe it’s more of a Great Sub-Carrier. Think if it like “dialtone of reality”. Spiritual philosophers like Alan Watts said the entire point of all life was that the universe was physically manifesting in order to experience itself. He wasn’t the first, obviously, its a variation of a theme that has been recurrent throughout all recorded history, and possibly even before.

So what happened?

Into this awareness came religions. Organized structures that would begin to dictate the basis on which members of society were to comprehend and approach this Great Sub-Carrier. Priesthoods evolved – the first monopolies. Religions. Hierarchies. Rulers. Subjects.

One of the earliest forms of social deviance was heresy: approaching the Divine Sub-Carrier from a direction outside the religious structure. Can’t have that.

This dynamic is as old as humanity. It could even be argued that historical progress is the story of the public coming to realize that the monopoly thought structure they were in was flawed or obsolete and then society moving on to the next one. The elites of the day would endeavour halt the progression or when that failed, co-opt whatever came next.

Then new elites would erect a new orthodoxy that placed them directly in the nexus of what was unknowable and what the rabble thought they needed to know in order to perform their primary function of ….servitude.

Today the great sub-carrier is best described by science, not religion. But again, the priesthood is saying that all knowledge of the sub-carrier should come through them. That’s Scientism. That’s Technocracy. Management by Experts.

The last two years of life on earth are a foretaste of a full blown technocracy. Follow The Science, plebes.

Only our elites can fathom how to approach and extract knowledge from The Great Externality, but this time they’ve made things even worse because they have it exactly backwards. They think the Great Externality doesn’t even exist. It’s for flakes and Bible bangers. The technocratic priesthood holds that material reality is near completely understood and that our minds are side effects of chemical reactions in our brains.

They hold that if only we can crunch enough Big Data and calculate out all the models we’ll be, like God (who doesn’t exist), able to fix everything and eliminate all bad outcomes, for everybody, everywhere. We may even be able to eliminate death, and we could upload our consciousness (which is an illusion) into the cloud and live forever.

Because of this backwardation, we will always be careening from one catastrophe to the next, and most of them will be of our own making. We collectively suffer from an illusion that we are in control.

But we are not in control. We’re a pattern. A dance. A cycle. Waveforms. Vibrations. What we as humans do specifically well, which is our superpower and has led to our technological advancement which could conceivably continue on a trajectory that makes humanity an interstellar phenomenon, is adapt.

What technocrats can’t understand, or admit is that we can’t control what is going to happen. Either on an individual scale of people thinking in ways they’re not supposed to think, or geological, cultural, geopolitical or cosmic scales. We can’t get interest rates right, we can’t get everybody to agree on whether it’s “Gif” or “jif” and somehow we’re going to change the trajectory of the climate? Achieve immortality? Crank out a Singularity?

That is highly unlikely and in trying to preempt theoretical bad outcomes we typically bring about horrible actual outcomes. The lab leak from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, if it occurred and it is looking increasingly likely that it did, was the result of gain-of-function studies on bat coronaviruses. They didn’t do it as a bioweapon. It’s not a global conspiracy to institute a Great Reset (all that talk is opportunism more than planning).

They were trying to figure out how to plan for a future global pandemic that may catch humanity off guard and cause incalculable damage. What did they accomplish? They unleashed a global pandemic that caught humanity off guard and caused incalculable damage. Soon to be compounded by global, de-facto compulsory inoculations with experimental vaccines that have a distinctly politicized impetus behind them.

That same dynamic is applied to economics (its where the .COM crash and Global Financial Crisis came from), and social policy (the Woke movement), to climate is all the same technocratic mindset that doesn’t understand the order of reality (mind, then matter) but even worse thinks it knows it.

We’re stuck with that for awhile because the technocratic mindset is incapable of introspection or entertaining the possibility of being wrong about anything. The only move it knows is to double-down on failure.

The antidote to all this is massive decentralization on a global scale, which has the added benefit that decentralization by definition, is not something that gets decided from the top (it never is). It just happens, even in spite of the people in the centre of power who may feel something about their gravitas melting away.

That’s what has started to happen. A global opt-out. The Great Reject. As sure as the Reformation gave way to the Enlightenment despite the protestations of the Church, we’re headed into a world of networks and the sunset of nations. All the while the propagandists of  the old order shrieking that in this direction lies certain doom.

The Enlightenment arose from an increase in the level of abstraction, structurally the universe changed from the Ptolemaic worldview (the world as the centre of all existence) to the Heliocentric solar system.

Now we’re experiencing a similar shift away from static top-down hierarchical structures as the natural shape of civilization and toward shifting, impermanent, overlapping networks. My guess is the beginnings of quantum mechanics, over 100 years ago was the setting the table for the wider realization that we don’t live in a ping-pong ball universe where consciousness is an epiphenomenon of the brain. Rather that reality is an intersection of probabilities and information between what David Bohm called The Implicate and Explicate orders.

When AI researchers turn their attention toward building something that more closely resembles a transceiver that taps into that sub-carrier of reality, they’ll have a shot at making something that actually thinks.
